Hi! THANK YOU!!!! This is the second video of yours I have watched and you are a GIFT!!!! I can't wait to watch more as I get (make!!) time! I subscribed and am looking forward to getting to know you and learn from you! Have a great day! 😊
This was so encouraging! I'm looking for moms with experience in the teen years of homeschooling because they are completely different! I appreciate your thoughts here, so helpful.
I think when we do homeschool when our children go out they feel to be free of their parents and can be catch for any bad influence because they never be in front of the real life of our society… please, I would like to know your opinion about this. Thanks a lot.
Sure! Here is my opinion on your comment and the experience I have had. When I HS my kids, I do have them out of the regular public school life, yet I don’t have them hidden away from real life at all. They are exposed to people, kids their ages, and to life just like every other kid that goes to public school. It’s just that they are not in the public physical school itself- most of the time. Sometimes they do take a class here and there in the schools. So they are learning right from wrong, how to deal with serious social issues, and learning from their mistakes. But the difference is, I am more involved in their life and am a big part of it to help them navigate through the mess out in the real world. I respect my kids agency and let them make decisions and mistakes on their own. They have a lot of freedom in HS yet a lot of attention from me and a lot of follow up and accountability, so they seem to not have the need to explore all the bad influences you mentioned to satisfy what they were deprived of by homeschooling. Every family is different, every child is different. Homeschooling is not a perfect sterile world and me and my kids have not done it perfectly for sure. So many parents worry about this also, but in my experience and with other HSers I’ve been around, it has not been an issue. Yes, there have been some HS kids that have chosen other paths their parents are not happy with, but I believe that is in the minority and that is just life all parents deal with. I hope I’ve been of help. Thanks so much for your question and for watching!! Blessings to you! 😊🌼
Thank you for your videos! Do you have a video on how to choose curriculums or online classes and which ones you recommend? That is the most overwhelming thing to me right now.
That is a video I’m in the process of making! Since there is so much curriculum now a days, it’s very overwhelming to choose. Cathy Duffy has her top picks on her website. It’s a great place to get to know the different curriculums that are out there. Here is her website :cathyduffyreviews.com/. Thanks for watching and you’ll get a handle on all this HS stuff. You’re simply amazing for doing this!! 😊🌼

Can you talk more about the classes they took at the high school and how you did that?
