"Sir, do you have a plan for the filming of St. Vincent's set?" "Yeah, I'll stick a camera on her the whole time." "But...sir, there's a band with her..." "Yeah, but whatever, I'll just throw some shitty effects in there later, like superimposing the guitar behind her face. Ya know, classic 70's stuff." "But sir, what about their choreography?" "I'll just get some shots of their shoes as they move, it'll be good, trust me."
you didnt notice the lighting? what did you want the drummer sitting in pitch black? the asian guitarists orange lit leg? besides she is the main attraction this band ripped off at the drive in for this hook too one armed scissor
When it finally got going. Though to be fair it seems a lot of equipment had gone missing shortly beforehand, perhaps that contributed to the power out.
For all the critics, it would appear that this song occurred around dusk, so the switch in camera work done earlier with natural lighting hadn't had adjustment to artificial and multi-colored mode.
What the hell was the person working the camera and lights thinking? She choreographs her movements to the rest of the band. They didn't even show a glimpse of the the other members until half way through.
Benjamin Giblin-Millsap yeah, this video completely missed the point. you would think someone in video would have a better eye and sense of what was being presented.
It's my favorite song from them. You're right. It's weak sounding on the keybass parts. Listen to the version live at outside lands, golden gate park, sf. Sounds really good there..

You need to listen to my Bowie Classics .... I get pelted with fruit ... and leave through the gent's toilet window ... I leave the car running now
Was the director drunk?
I'm sorry but I'm not educated enough to appreciate this song.

Is like Prince and David Bowie had a daughter and they asked Frank Zappa to teach her how to play the guitar.
