Criminally under-rated band. the world needs more Savatage R.I.P. Cris. Try one of their songs that rock like Power of the Night , Beyond the Doors of the D. If you like a more of classical mixed with rock try Christmas Ever 12/24 you will probably recognize it

I had to record this song both sides of a tape so I could flip the tape and play it again and again and again. Back in the early 90s that was.

Interesting, not a lot of YT reactors cover Savatage.
However, I might have gone with some of Jon's Solo stuff instead. "Reality's Fool" and "Fireflies" are pretty good.
Of course, Savatage are founding members of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, which sadly made them victims of their own success... suddenly their demographic shifted from Metal-heads to menopausal soccer-moms, lol. TSO isn't bad at all, but I do miss some of the older Savatage songs.

Hall of the mountain king by Savatage is the zenith. Great album.

Savatage was done even without TSO. Paul and Jon said that Savatage never made money, they always lost money, and the success of TSO helped the band survive a little longer.
