I have been listening to your videos all week. I will cry when I make my first few sales. I want to give a big thank you to you already and I'm still learning. This will be round 2 for my ecommerce store because I gave up earlier this year but wasn't as committed as I am now. Thank you so much Sebastian I know it's early but thank you.
This is why so many people are confused about this. You have one crowd saying that you should just go straight for a purchase. You have another crowd saying that you should start with View Content and go down the conversion funnel. Then you have another crowd saying "Seasoning" your Pixel is a joke. IMO, this just seems like the most logical approach to populate your pixel with data in order for it to perform.
This video was really great. It went over some of the stuff you explained earlier, but you went more into the WHY of doing things this way. So thanks for that information!
How to optimse campaign for ad to cart from view content ..say an ecommerce store start with view content campaign and gets 100+ view content ...how to optimsie for next goal in sales funnel using the view content response
Can you please explain what is the optimal way to structure your business manager? If example we have 3 websites we should create 1 ad account per website and 1 pixel? or is there any pros and cons of creating more than 1 ad account and 1 pixel per website? Thanks in advance.
Hi Sebastian! Great video! everything explained very clear, thank you! I have a question, When you optimize for VC , A2C or Purchase, Do you also add your interest(targeting) to your ad set? or you just leave it like that. Thank you!
I am using business manager and I don't know what kind of ad should I use there is traffic, app video view atd... and I don't know HOW can I move from view content to add to cart.... should I change add ar create new one ? I am just lost
That's great tips ! Thank you ! You have my subscribe ! What shall we use when setting up a View content conversion ad ?Shall we create a lookalike audience of those who visited our page the last 30 days ?
great video very helpful i follow all of your channels. one question: when you duplicate an adset do you deactivate the previous ad (eg view content) and only run the duplicated add to cart ad? or...do you have both ads activated? thank you
Great explanation. Only one detail escapes my understanding. Should I choose the conversion event depending on the rate at which I get the events or depending on how much the event has happened in the past ? For example if I get 10 adds to cart daily but I already have got more then 100 add to carta in the past should I use add to cart ?
Clever chap. To me this makes more sense than what seems to be a contrast in advice from other vids. This way you are targeting specifically, people who are more likely to convert. Whether that be view content all the way through to purchase. I'm new to this. But the majority of vids seem to be suggesting run FB traffic campaigns as cheaper and allow FB to work with more data at a quicker rate. But as per sebastian's other vid, more traffic may not necessarily mean people who will convert in someway. Am I interpreting this wrong? New to this and can get rather confusing. Very informative vids however. And he doesn't appear to be following the crowd or general consensus and more making his own mind up based on his own interpretation from his own stats. I would tend to follow sebastian's more logical explanation in running a campaign if targeting sales. But then traffic may get more eyes on your brand which may be of benefit to an introduction of a new brand? Does anyone know if there is a massive difference in bidding price or PPC in terms of conversion campaign vs traffic? I have heard if running a cheaper $5 a day ad campaign your money goes further and less competition for traffic campaigns initially? Well done however, really really great content and now subscribed.
Hi Sebastian. Great video. Quick question regarding product research. How do we make sure the niche product selected will sell? As I remember u said in other video to select product that others are not doing so you don't become the "other guy with other product". So how do you confirm if that is proven just based on the sales on aliexpress ?
Awesome stuff and value! well done. Just a question though. I have been doing view content testing many products and not profitable so far yet, should I keep running the ads sets after $2-3/adsets with 1-2 VC and 0 sales? or should I kill it right away and move on to next product to test?
Hey @sebastian would you recommend scaling up and add to cart adset if its performing well *HENCE* tons of add to carts but no sales.? but because its optimizing for its objective is it likely to get purchases the higher you scale and get more add to carts?
Hi Sebastian! Firstly, thank you for your free videos, you are awesome. I want to ask you though, why you are not recommending for the first ads the PPE? It's actually the cheapest way to collect data from FaceBook, then when you use WC the pixel will know what people are interested into your products because it has some data...just asking!
hi when you mention the term "optimise" does that refer to choosing the right objectives or letting facebook "optimise" it?and whats the difference between ATC and purchases?
Optimice is when you select the right objective. Are 3 steps: view content, add to cart and finally purchase. Someone can add to cart but leave it there, an abandonment cart. When they purchase they complete all the process.
Hi Sebsatian, Very detailed video, was looking for something like this for a good few hours. One question, when you duplicate an ad that is going well e.g. 'view content' and you duplicate it so it is then 'add to cart'. Would you keep the 'view content' running at the same time or shut it down once your 'add to cart' gets more sales?
Great Video. I’ve started using Campaign Budget Optimisation. When moving from VC to ATC, should I create a completely new campaign with the ATC adset, or should I create the ATC adset in the existing campaign with the VC one?
Hi Rishi did u get revert for your query..even I am keen to know how should ad to cart campaign be create ..hope you have been able to figure out ...can u share your learnings it will be helpful for me
hey Sebastian , I have a question So if your using the "purchase" conversion through and through , doesn't your pixel already track every time someone views your content , and every time some adds to cart since its already on the way to your purchase? If that's so wouldn't it just make more sense to track all purchases ? Thats just how I did it in the past and am now wondering if I would have better results doing it your way . thanks for the content ! keep it up
hola sebastian tenes este mismo video en español? ya que estoy empezando y no logro entender el funcionamiento del WC y los eventos y si este realiza retargeting para los que llegaron a view content para llevarlos a add to cart. graciasss
hi sebastian, thx 4 making good video... i have a question, how much percentage good ctr foreach web conversion -view content, webconversion - atc , web conversion - purchase ?
Hello Sebastian :) Great video ! Must begin with WC objective VC or can begin with WC objective ATC or PUR ? What do you think ? My ad has many engagement on PPE testing ... but little very little WC-VC .. Thanks
Sebastian, thank you for such great insight. Out of curiosity, any advise on tracking on Ebay? I do have a Shopify store but I also have an Ebay shop that does very well so I haven't wanted to let it go just yet. Take care y muchisimas gracias mi amigo
if I duplicate ad set 1 view content to ad set 2 add to cart does it mean I will pay for another for ad set 2? if I payad set 1 for $10 and I duplicate it I will pay for another $10? then it cost me $20
Hey Sebastian! Thank you for your videos. Im really following your tutorial seriously and learning great things. I have a question when we duplicate from View Content to Add to Cart, do we have to pay extra ? I am almost about to launch my store maybe in one week. My testing budget is around 300$ maybe max 500$.
Hello Sebastian, So I had 36 VC pixel fires for one of my adset and I duplicated the adset and ran a ATC campaign and turned off the VC adset. Now I feel like it was too early to run the ATC with only 36 VC pixel fires. Is it ok to re enable the VC pixel until I get around 100 and then run the ATC? Or do you think that 36 pixels fires are good enough to move to the ATC? Thank you in advance. I really appreciate your teachings.
Great video! I've learned a lot.. But i have a question, when you duplicate those adset it wouldn't be necessary to change or edit the audience retargeting?
When moving from VC to ATC, are you duplicating into a new campaign or staying in the same campaign but changing objective to ATC? Thank you for clarifying. :)
Sebastian, love your videos. Thanks for all you are contributing. You really inspire me and lift my spirits when I get frustrated with shopify and question my commitment to it. I have one simple question that most newbies could benefit from. Why am I charged for FB ads where the target is add to cart/initiate checkout/purchase when no one actually added performed any of those actions. Do you still get charged for View content even if no one buys? I'm sure that there is a simple explanation behind it, just struggling to understand why.
Eric Owen hey Eric, I'm a fellow newbie myself but it's normally because you have your payment processed per every thousand impression or something along the likes of it! Hope this helps, it's at the bottom of the edit page for the adsets and is under advanced
I m a bit confused , as some people say that after integrating Pixel, use PPE Ads for sometimes, then go for "website conversion" objective, bcoz by that time u will have data in ur pixel. I m new to FB AD, after I choose "website conversion" , r u telling me to create ADs with "view content" event first ? I mean this "View Content" specific ADs under "website conversion" , is it equal to a "PPE' Ads ?
So basically If I have 100 people coming on my site from "view content" conversion ad and nobody adds to cart that means my product sucks :D Am I right?

The only video and the best one so far on youtube to explain facebook conversion ads completely and in simple terms. Thank you :)
Thank you for this straightforward explanation. So many videos make conversion events even more complicated, but yours makes it much clearer!

Great video! I've learned a lot.. But i have a question, when you duplicate those adset it wouldn't be necessary to change or edit the audience retargeting?
I think it would very helpful. You can create an audience based on your VC for your ATC Ad Set.
It contradicts with some other methods. some said start with PPE.
Mark Sol PPE or CTw is good to fill the ViewContent "bucket"
When moving from VC to ATC, are you duplicating into a new campaign or staying in the same campaign but changing objective to ATC? Thank you for clarifying. :)
According to the video, you can stick to the same Campaign. You just duplicate your ad set and change the conversion event.

and what about breacking down ? do you use them to specify your target ? or you don't really care of it cause Pixel does it for you ?

WC nope. you must keep filling VC bucket. then move to ATC bucket. until you get enough Purchase bucket
