- Today I review the Boar's Head® Ultimate Sub from Publix®! ($7.99)
This week they have this sub on special as the PUB SUB of the week so I ordered it with a TWIST!
This sub usually comes with Boar's Head® Tavern Ham, Turkey and Roast Beef and all of the toppings you desire. I swapped out the Turkey with the Boar's Head Flame Grilled Firesmith Chicken Breast!

For anyone who has never had Boar's Head- You are truly missing out. London Broil, Corned Beef, Beef Pastrami and their Muenster Cheese are FIRE!!!!!!

Can’t beat $8 for a large sub now a days, especially a boars head meat one 😋
Also side note I LOVE that they wrap them separately. I never finish a whole one and like to save the other half for the next day.
Favorite sub from Publix is their tuna or chicken salad.

If you ask, they will package all the toppings on the side in a clear bag, lettuce, tomatoes, oil & vinegar packets, etc. so you can eat the other half the next day. You would want to get the mustard and mayo packets they have in the deli selection and just add those, so it does not get soggy that way.

Publix and Larry's are my usual sub go-tos, and I always go for the Italian at both, the Destroyer in Larry's case.

We don't have Publix in California...My favorite sub was the toasted Reuben at used to be sold at Jersey Mike's. I no longer go there ever since they stopped selling them. I also love Philly cheesesteaks and toasted Muffalettas.
That Firesmith chicken is very tasty! Got some a few weeks ago and created a grilled chicken, bacon cheddar sandwich that was awesome. Then I ate the rest of the chicken straight up!

Publix rules
Boars Head Garlic Bologna... HEAR ME OUT!! The garlic bologna is super flavorful and on a fried bologna sandwich with some BH baby swiss and thinly sliced white onion.... LORD have mercy. I'm tellin if you try it you can thank me later.
Boar's Head is good quality stuff.

Publix envy- not located here. Nothing beats a FRESH sub, quality veggie overload, oil/vinegar and pepper or seasoning! Yummmm. Ps BH is amazing.

Can't try it because there's no Publix in California. Just as well, when it comes to subs I don't do the chains, I go to Claro's Italian Deli.

I had the ultimate boars head two days ago when it was footlong for 7.99 she loaded it so full one half stuffed me to the gills 🤣 also got a half pound of the chicken and it was pretty good.

I had a grad student that would always run around yelling "Pub Subs!" - I almost called for the whitecoats... When I lived where there were Publixes (or as I like to call them, Publi-cees), I loved their rotisserie chicken salad but for Boar's Head, I love their Honey Maple Turkey, Honey Maple Ham, London Broil, "Boiled"/Deluxe Ham, and Rare Roast Beef. I like their BH BBQ Chicken Breast too. I like that you can get some low or no sodium ones. Weirdly, most of BH cheeses have no taste! I actually like Publix brand deli cheese (esp. the white american - yes, you are endorsed for that!) better than fancy cheese. Publix turkey is okay but not a fan of their ham.

Hey, according to Google, Publix brand mayo is Hellmann's Mayonnaise, actually I would prefer Duke's Light or Blue Plate Light mayonnaise over Hellmann's. Hellmann's is Ok for as mayo goes but not that fond of it. I also like Miracle Whip light too on sandwiches. It depends what packages of mayo they offered you on the side, may been a better flavor choice for your Ultimate Sub. Not sure what my favorite Publix sub would be, never had a Publix sub. I always look at the deli where they make them weekly when I shop but just never been the right timing to eat a sub bc I always shop right after I've had lunch or when it's too early for dinner. Most likely an Ultimate Club would be my pick with roast beef, turkey or chicken & ham, only sub I've ever bought at Subway or Firehouse.

@@theendorsement Mid size and is yours the 1000 version or the newer 2000 version? I was a bit disappointed that while it has GPS for tracking runs and whatnot, it doesn't have any actual GPS navigation functionality. So, I started looking at similar Garmin watches, but I haven't pulled the trigger on anything.

I don’t like Publix I got a steak and cheese sub and it wasn’t even steak it was literally roast beef COLD ROAST BEEF 🚮
Publix keeps price gauging. because they can all supermarket are gauging causing 40 percent of all inflation. IT PISSES ME OFF TO NO END
