I feel fortunate of owning Bessie's 2016 release. I didn't even know what diecasts would come out that year, so seeing her in stores was a complete surprise. Also, I could not imagine a reality where a steam roller McQueen and a racecar Mater diecast would be a thing if the Community Service deleted scene was not scrapped.
Bessie really is an interesting release for the reasons you said. There's definitely a reason she's rarely released lol. Since she's not an actual sentient character and is also really complex in design lol I feel like she'd make more sense if she was packed with mcqueen. Stuff like the hauler trailers or the Stanley statue are never released on their own, and Globie was specifically a limited super chase. But then she's way too big even in the diecast's shrunk down form to fit in a 2-pack with Mcqueen even now, it's a shame but at least she was released in some form lol I wonder if they'll ever do some sort of playset built around her, I feel like it'd be the best way to release like, an accurate scaled one. Though I guess maybe the time for that's long passed, but then they just did another Frank playset recently so who knows lol
@@AquaMarina369 I think a playset in the style of the frank one would be smart-big vehicle, long road and some sort of play feature-maybe fixable roads or obstacles Bessie pushes through or something like that. I think the market for Bessie is certainly there
@@ttoyreviewsty yeah it 100% feels like something they could do, and like you said there's a lot they could do with the play features, maybe they could have like bumps in the road that go down when rolled over? hope they do something like it someday lol
Sorry the original had that glitch, Bessie is a really fun item, I agree though, there's a lot of things I wish were changed, hopefully if they every decided to rerelease her, hoping that does but I know of course deluxes are in a rut and they don't really like tossing them into multipacks either, but if they ever rerelease Bessie I hope they make the hitch actually connect to McQueen. Another thing I wanted to note is Bessie can be heard sorta laughing before spraying mcqueen with tar, I love that sound design detail. Great review ty, glad you own this incredibly sought after and unique item that, really can't be gotten anywhere except the diecast line.
I always used my Little Tikes trucks in place for Bessie.

Bessie diecast is incredible!
Wow wasn't expecting to see you here lol
Nice to see the other part added. I have the Plastic Bessie from the Mack Playtown set. I got it in a flea market 6 months ago.
*"The finest road pavin' machine ever built"*
I hearby sentence you to community service
Did you re-upload this?? Nice review Bessie is pretty rare though
the original upload was missing the last two minutes of the video
I think they should make a playset of Bessie, that might be more in scale.

Agreed, kinda shicked they never attempted to tap into Bessie's potential ever again@@ttoyreviewsty

She groans while being pulled and often splatters tar
I’d give my left two lug nuts for something like that
I used to have Bessie but I lost her :(
