Thanks for this video. You are being sincere and honest. I am one person who is afraid of failure. I always want to score 100% or at least 90% in an assignment and I have noticed that my strive for perfection leads me to procrastinate. I am doing a bootcamp in software development. The program is challenging, intensive and fast paced. Most of the time I am left behind and come late in submitting my assignments because of this perfection syndrome. I don’t want to fail. After watching your video I have come to realize that this is one of my biggest mistakes. The other one is allotting time for myself to study my lesson while maintaining a family and full time job. I need to work on the latter. To that end, I like to extend my appreciation to you for making this wonderful video.
Thanks for this. I'm two classes away from a BA at strayer and the WGU Masters in cybersecurity will be my next step. I'll be transferring in credits due to my CISSP and CISM certs so this affirms my idea that I will be able to finish quickly.
Yes, it can be done. Same master's degree in exactly 5 Months. Feels good. I did keep the 6 months to myself, but my wife figure out what I wanted to do.
Thank you Nicole! Your videos are great and doable! I feel like I can "do this" after watching your videos. You're videos are relatable and so down to earth, not just technical jargon. Thanks!
Major props for your effort and all your work!!! If you can apply these same skills to self employment gigs you can easily become one of the top 10% earners in any field you choose.
How you manage to do it with full time job and mortgage/rent/bills? Was it it a program that needs attention all day or did you do everything after work?
Parkinsons Law! I set deadlines for each course, and make it a non negotiable. Most people have the time, they just don't know it. I worked full time and paid rent & bills with no issue. I don't have any children so that probably helped also....
Yes, I suggest taking a term break and studying for the certificates before starting. This will make it go way quicker when you get to the actual class.
I'm currently attending WGU for my Bachelor's in Network Operations and Security. I'm currently using my GI Bill which is 36months of paid tuition and BAH payment. The problem I'm having is that I will likely graduate with my Bachelor's in 24months using only two-thirds of my GI Bill benefit, leaving me with twelve months that I don't know what to do with. I've thought about using the remaining benefit to go for the same Master's Degree that you have in Cyber Security and Information Assurance but I'm not completely sure if I want to do it. Any thoughts?
@@nicoleenesse I'm in the process of starting. Look up wgu partners you will see the list of institutions they allow. I'm about to transfer 38 credits and we will leave me with 49 credits to get my bachelor's.
Hey Nicole, love your channel! For the certification courses, are the exams written and administered by WGU? Or do you have to go to the test center and take the exam? How many times can you retake the exam if you are not successful?
Hey there, the certification courses will be third party driven depending on the major. I was in IT so COMPTIA was a common one. Start studying for these before enrolling in the program. You can do all tests online at any time! You can choose to go to a test center under special circumstances. You can take the exam up to 4 times, before getting kicked out of the program.
Great feedback! Just started my MSCIA this month, How does the PA for C725 compare to the OA? Or is the OA structured more like the CISSP practice tests? Any tips are appreciated.
That is awesome! The PA is very similar to the OA. My study technique was to study the PA questions, and figure out why EACH answer was right or wrong. Those same answer choices will show up on the OA. You also gain good knowledge of the topic, and save a lot of time by not having to read 1000 pages ( that you probably won't remember).
Hey Nicole! I’m currently enrolled in the cyber security and information assurance degree plan. What tips can you give us for advancing through your six month term by passing your assessments and how are used to use to study and retain information?
study the pre assessment and all of the answe rquestions. Make sure you know why each answer choice is wrong or right. You will see those same answer choices again
I start this same program in September. Wish me luck thanks for the advice hopefully I can do it in the 6 month term. I heard theres some certs too to pass how did you prepare for those classes ?
Nice video Nicole. thanks for posting. I don't live in the US but in Europe and unfortunately, WGU is not accepting foreign students so I can't apply. can you suggest or recommend another uni that you can do the same that you did. I had a look at Thomas Edison State University but their fees are 1000s. Love to copy what you did but not sure how or where to apply. thanks for answer
I don't want to study in Europe but online at an American University but WGU are not taking studentd outside USA. So want to find a University similar to WGU so I can finish degree in 6 months 😁 any ideas?
I Really love your videos, and you're doing a wonderful job. But i had to ask what are the requirements for getting into WGU for cybersecurity bachelors degree. Thankyou!
FYI, your transcript is defaulting to Korean for some reason. I was going to the transcript because the video didn't have chapters, but it was in Korean.
I don’t have any children, or any other obligations so it wasn’t too bad. I had a ton of time to dedicate. Now, instead of school...I make TH-cam videos lol

Hey I am thinking of applying how is it so far? Is it hard and overwhelming? Can you manage between school and work?

Strayer is too costly.
@@homiedclown1885 your mileage may vary. I used the VA loan/cash and the graduation credits so it it hasn’t cost much.

I want to take CAPM to get into the wgu cyber security program

Is this online university recognize over the world
It is accredited by the US, but not world renown
How to get this being in india? Please suggest. I have few friends in USA.
WGU isn't available internationally. I apologize!
Could you take like 10 classes there and then transfer it to ur university?
Depends on the university, i would check beforehand
How many credits did you start off with? Did you transfer credits from a previous degree which made it fast for you to finish within the 6 months?
I didn't have any credits for a Masers degree. The Masters is only 30 credits, making it a lot more manageable than a bachelors degree
Was the Masters a bit easier than the bachelors?
It is a lot shorter..around 9 courses

Yes, I actually got a GOV job because of my Masters. it is fully accredited
Can I enroll as an African living in Africa??
No, US only
