I noticed the masks we're on the wrong heads too haha. the rubber body shirt and hands are also different sculpts from the part 3 figure. glad to finally see the review. did a great job 👍
The wrist upgrade alone makes it better than the originals to me. It bothered me that NECA wasn't detailing wrists back then on the original figures and left them bright and clean when the rest of the exposed skin was dirty looking.
Ultimate Jason 4 has sick looking accessories. The blood soaked detail is the features I was hoping for. Jason Pt 3 figure-wise I believe I like the best.
I just started my own Horror icons collections and I got this as my Jason, I was after a classic Part 3 Jason but comes more expensive nowdays so I went for this part 4 which is basically almost the same except for some colors, pretty happy with this ;)
Actually I am still waiting on it. It's in the mail, but service is a bit slow on this one. I'll be reporting back as soon as I get it. Really looking forward to it.
I will finally have my favorite jason neca figure which is the Jason Lives but I will look for this in the near future because of those beautiful and brutally looking weapons.
my friend showed me this he has it me and him are big Friday The 13th fans and when he showed me this it was $28 he said I think it's worth it because of the detail and how much fun you could have with this

I don't know if it's something that their website did erroneously, but Entertainment Earth says they'll have the Part 3 and Part 6 Ultimate figures back in stock later this year.
I just bought one off eBay says new and when I received it. Something just doesn’t seem right. The packaging seems different the clear window was loose and just pulled out. The head wear you can put the machete on side of his head doesn’t really fit. Seems a lot smaller than what I see on here. Did I get screwed over or is this the original release.?

I bought one while I was out of town last month at Toys R Us, and today I go to the FYE closest to home and they have six or eight of them, and they never had any before, including less than a week ago. In fact, they never had the Ultimate Part 3 Jason period. Is there Toys R Us in Canada? They still have them for $24.99 U.S.
Hell he was running up and down stairs, from house to house, throwing bodies through windows ,chasing after the girl trying to kill her, got a TV smashed on his head, you do all that and see if you're not a little red in the face. I just got the part 4 Jason, and my Jason masks that I got from the two heads, have the both bottom chevrons are the same, I’m pretty disappointed but it still is cool
I think u might had missed that the nails weren't pained in the original release and they did do it on the ultimate, also part of forearm is painted compared too the original that it isn't.
the only thing the bugged me is as precise as you are about the chevrons, his face was a weird kind of blue when his mask was knocked off, that's always one thing that bugged me in the movie, I understand personal preference on paint jobs, and don't get me wrong, great review. but am I the only one who notices the weird discoloration of his head at the end? just me? alright lol
The later hockey mask also has the crack in the forehead from the ax mark to the eye hole. That's something they corrected with the Ultimate figure, as the original Final Chapter Jason has that crack in the mask when he shouldn't, and the alternate Ultimate mask (for the un-macheted head) does not, so I give NECA a lot of credit for getting that detail right, and putting that kind of thought and effort into this figure rather than just combining the two figures and putting everything in the nice VHS artwork window box and calling it a day, which they could very well have done with few complaints. Neither mask is worn after the machete goes into his head, so both actually belong on the other one. It's just that one represents the way it looks earlier, and the other later in the movie, both prior to the point at which he receives the machete wound.
perhaps but at the time that the mask is knocked off of Jason the Chevrons are already worn off the mask so the other mask in the review should have really been on the machete damaged face sculpt as its the closest mask to when that scene happens
Given that they paid enough attention to the details to make sure that the earlier mask didn't have the crack this time, I think maybe they did it to demonstrate the point that it doesn't matter because of the fact that they both represent points in the movie prior to him acquiring the machete wound.
Either it's your lighting or something else, but on your ultimate part 3 Jason, the blood is a lot brighter and covers more of his face. With my ultimate part 3 Jason, the blood is much darker and not much running down his face. Is your ultimate a rare variant or does it depend on the lighting?
My ultimate part 4 Jason does not have the blood on the head, instead it's just a bruise rather than blood. Guessing mine came with the standard release version of the head with better eyes. I'm not sure but I think that's how mine came.
I got my f13 part 4 Jason today but the paint is off and both masks have full chevrons so no difference between the two, also it looks like paint is chipping off the pants area, I’m sure I bought a bootleg but it’s feels legit! If it is a bootleg I got to give it to them for going the extra mile to make it that way but I’m still a bit disappointed

With the battle damaged head and the end scene mask, he can fill the role of a Part 5 hallucination Jason.
I would assume they made the masks for Part 3 and 4 yellow because they were yellow masks. Making them white would therefore be inaccurate.

They packaged ham where is that worn away chevron’s because they wear off Sometime at the end of the mov sometime around the end of the movie

I think you're reaching to be honest, I don't think the wrong hockey masks being on the heads were to demonstrate some bigger picture
