You guys have no idea how much these qawwalis mean for me. i have spent years just listening to Ustaad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, and i got this taste in Heritage from my father who died 14 years ago. he used to told me stories how he heard him live. and the cherry on top that. most of the Qawwalis are related to Ma'arfat or we call Silsila in Urdu Language and me being part of Chishti Silsila and hearing a Ma'arfana Kalaam recorded by the Ultimate Singer himself is nothing but a once in a lifetime experience. i hope many people like me can relate because there wasn't a singer like him and never will be.

Growing up in a Hindu family in India, my world was filled with Bollywood, but it was Khan Saab-Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan-who saved me in ways I can’t even explain. There were days when life felt too heavy, and everything seemed too hard. During those moments, I’d put on his qawwalis, and somehow, his voice would reach deep inside me, giving me peace, helping me see things more clearly.
Today, I stumbled upon on this video, and it hit me all over again. I couldn’t hold back the goosebumps and the tears. It’s hard to put into words what his music does-it’s something you feel, not just hear.
Even in 2024, Khan Saab’s legacy still feels as powerful as ever, like a force that will never fade.

I hope this album by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan finally wins a Grammy. While his previous albums, 'Intoxicated Spirit' and 'Night Song,' were nominated but didn't win, he certainly doesn't need a Grammy to validate his greatness. Nevertheless, it would be a well-deserved honor for both him and the Grammy Awards.

In the World of Music. No One Could have and Can Touch his Voice, High notes, low notes, the effect on your mind. Indeed I have heard ton of different musicians from all over the world but may be the greatest of them all was Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. My grand father used to hear him, then my father attended his Qawwali's in Lahore and now KING IS BACK with Chain of Light.

Thank you Real World and special thanks to Odhran Mullan for finding it.. World needed this.. Listening to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is like feeling the universe speak directly to your soul. His voice transcends time, language, and place, reaching deep into the core of your being, stirring emotions you didn’t know existed. Every note, every breath, feels like a prayer, as though he's channeling something far beyond this world, a pure connection to the divine. His qawwalis carry the weight of centuries of longing, love, and spiritual ecstasy, pulling you into a space where you can lose yourself and find yourself all at once. It’s like his voice holds the entire spectrum of human experience-the ache of separation, the rapture of union, and everything in between.
Sometimes, when you close your eyes and surrender to the sound, it feels as if the pain in your heart is being cradled, understood, and soothed. There's a healing power in his voice, a raw vulnerability that makes your soul tremble. His music doesn't just fill a room; it fills your spirit, enveloping you in an ocean of feeling that leaves you breathless. You’re not just hearing a voice; you’re feeling every tear, every smile, every sigh that humanity has ever known.

Ever since the album was announced in June, I've been eagerly anticipating its September release. I even pre-ordered the vinyl version. Hearing 'Ya Ghaus Ya Meeran' on the BBC radio show on September 16th was a huge boost to my excitement, making the wait seem even longer. On the night of September 19th, I stayed up until midnight, hoping to hear the album the moment it dropped on Spotify. Unfortunately, I fell asleep before then, but I was delighted to hear it the instant I woke up.
I've listened to it countless times since, and I'm absolutely captivated. Born in the year Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan passed away, I've been a huge fan since eighth grade. However, I'd never experienced the thrill of a new Nusrat album release, something my elders often spoke about. Now, I can proudly share that I've lived through this incredible moment. And to top it off, I watched the short film as soon as I got home from work. I dropped everything to immerse myself in it. Really happy to be living in these times ❤

She will put some cassette on and go on her way to do house chores and you could hear ustad ji any where in the house. I use to hate it at that time but some magic started happening as i started understanding lyrics and make my own sense of the quwalli. From the days of being a young kid in his teen who barely understand the depth of the lyrics and technicality of the sounds of his voice till today after almost 3 decades Khan sahib's voice still touches my soul and i can feel goosebumps just listening to his voice. cant wait to listen to this entire album.

I was just browsing through some Qawwali recordings for a friend, who never heard of Qawwali, to give her an overview about styles and artists like Fareed Ayaz & Abu Muhammad, Fanna-Fi-Allah
and of course Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, when I saw a link to this movie. I was stunned and immediately ordered a CD (old fashioned music lover).
    Shukria to all!
