You are one lucky person! I would love to see him once again. Some musicians change your read of the world and he is one of them.
Frescobaldi's exploitation of unequal temperament is unparalleled and is a powerful force for expression. The Italian harpsichord's variable tone color thru it's compass is perfectly suited for this. He is my favorite compser.
How expressiv, never boring, what a wonderful new side to watch at the early baroque music by Frescobaldi! Jean, I was so excited to see you in Leipzig at the Bachfest this year again, but...wtf covid. Please, show us more on YT! You are so genious.
Repent and trust in Jesus. Hes the only way. We deserve Hell because weve sinned. Lied, lusted stolen, etc. But God sent his son to die on the cross and rise out of the grave. We can receive forgiveness from Jesus. Repent and put your trust in him. John 3:16 Romans 3:23❤❤😊
It's a fair point, and I don't even take it is a "crack"/joke. I can hardly look at his over-emoting expressions without wanting to look away and just focus on the music. He reminds me of Lang Lang (in the worst ways of telegraphed "emo" performance, and melodramatic gestures -- just stop!). I'm interested in why audiences of any period, but especially now, eat this stuff up as if it were either useful to music-making or the overall aesthetic. If there's authentic expression, sure -- bring it -- love to see it -- but there's definitely too much of a good thing, and some folks WAY overdo the "inspiration" and "devastation" of every last note.
I saw him 2 times (Paris 2 years ago and Cologne 2 weeks ago). I am still convinced the last one was the best concert of my life so far

I’m speechless….indescribable.

Wow what an incredible and unusual piece, could nearly be called a phantasy. Beautiful and resolute playing, Thankyou.
Brillantissime , comme d'habitude ! Quel talent !

L'interprétation est incroyable
He must be credited with influencing the great Bach to a certain degree! Bravo Frescobaldi!
A wonderful piece played by a master of the instrument
******
As much a pleasure to listen to as to watch his body flow with the emotions of the piece 👏🏻
Merci pour partager cette merveille.
Frescobaldi. Sa folie. Merveilleusement capturé.
Tout à fait !
I agree 100% , I didn't like baroque until I heard this. A thousand thanks !
Check out his Goldberg Variations. Superb! Expressive doesn't really describe it. His interpretation is phenomenal!
@@infledermaus id be inclined to favour bach and scarlatti compositons in a minor key, ie a and or d minor.
Gracias 🧡
Superb clarity and sound
Meraviglia Jean, grazie !
Magnifique! Merci.
Magnifique
pleasure to listen BRAVO 2023 INTERSTING INSTRUMENT
I like the unequal tempremant
Fantastico!
Now that's a excellent piece
Elegant improvisation so clearly the essence of Baroque emerging from Late Renaissance when Frescobaldi composed.
👏👏👏 magnifique 👏👏👏
Extraordinario Maestro, felicidades...!!!
So beautiful!Thank you
Wow very fantastic performance 👏👏👏👏👏👏 Excelent 👏👏👏👏👏🖖
It is wonderful!!!
Frescobaldi immenso!

Magnifique. Unique Jean Rondeau.
Un citron aussi...cdt
Composer, performer, instrument-maker!!
Hello! It's wonderful music!
Super, nusikirpo savo baisų kuodą. O groja - nuostabiai.
Großartig!
so good
Wow!
May I ask what temperament has being used for the harpsichord?
Superior performance
Grandioso
Gorgeous! He is the best and most musical harpsichordist since Blandine Verlet. He used to play barefoot and had cascading long hair, which I miss....
Bravo Messi!! Joke. Increíblemente bello
Utterly magnificent. Not the repertory one associates with Rondeau, but what a stunning performance.
I'm not a fan of Frescobaldi but this , yes !
💜
COOL

Does this have a more formal name, I can’t find the score for this anywhere
On IMSLP, it's under "Toccate e partite d'intavolatura, Libro 2" and is on page 24 of the first listed score.
@@MarkHatlestad wow That music Is… very hard to read. Il have to really study this
00:05 What's happening there? So weird.
the videography and editing here is pretty clumsy
Here from Spengler
ah messi can also play the harpsichord ?
give bro a better chair
I like the harpsichord but I can only take so much of it. Short pieces are more for me with this instrument. Nice music though
👋🏻⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️👑missed the old haircut though🥰

Romans 3:23❤❤😊
With apologies to Rondeau’s many fans, I prefer his very competent playing when I only listen.
You could save yourself the trouble of apologizing by keeping such irrelevant cracks to yourself.

Pretty mid.
Thumps up for the playing. Thumbs down to the beard
