Shaft miner finds the gluttony ruin - TG Event Hall - Space Station 13

- A round of SS13 as a shaft miner on TG station, with text explaining some of the things happening. This took place on the Events Hall server on Tuesday the 17th of March, 2020.
About the game: SS13 is a multiplayer paranoia-laden round-based roleplaying game with hidden antagonist roles. There are many different servers/codebases. This particular video was recorded on the TG station branch:

as a cat, yes.... we are... also you can annoy us with laser pointers, it actually forces us to follow the dot for a second, there have been times someone with a pointer forced me to follow the dot into my death such as off the shuttle or into a fire

I've been a morph 3 times and i ate all the weapons in armory every time.
I seriously wish there were more ways to turn into green boyo, it's such a cool mechanic.
you didnt have burn damage because the mining suit with the hood up is fireproof (NOT lava proof)

Thanks so much for your annotations during the round. I learned a few things I hadn't realized before. Didn't know that shift-clicking let you examine people by default! I was doing it by right-clicking haha

holy shit you injected on lavaland. you crazy :D I usually goto Aux construction, set the cows there for later eating, and grab a radio to turn on and eat so I can interact with the crew better. like goto the AI sat and become a Cyborg Statue then walk the halls going Beep boop at people. or being a beepsky and just patrolling like they normally do
also you can still examine, just not with shift+click. right click, examine

When recording this I felt uncertain how much I'm allowed to do as non-antag to prepare for becoming a morph. Did a better safe than sorry move by simply injecting it on the spot, but later I realised you may do it on station.

Once i wiped them out solo. Like all the way back there base and i dragged there eggs into lava. I had a spear stuck in my head but i won.
@@robertbogan225 they aren't hard to kill. You have boots, ranged powerful weapon and OP healing items.
@@MrRavellon they have killed everyone on station before. So it really just matters how robust you are. But me i just do what you said stock up on healing and weapon upgrades lol

Unsure if it worked 2 years ago but nowadays shift-right clicking and then selecting examine does work for morphs, too

Miner on a station where medicine can have long term side effects, no cloning, and things become more complex every just because orangenz loves to frustratingly raise the learning curve; and then bans people that voice concerns on GitHub pull requests because they also have a Reddit account.
I wouldn't even risk trying to hack anything there! Let alone try mining on that codebase!

as in, don't attack people, just eat everything not nailed down, then start breaking stuff and eating components until you eat literally the whole station.

why do you put pda into the box?
I usually want a wallet in ID slot instead of my PDA, so I prepare for it beforehand. A wallet is nice to have if I find an extra ID, such as an assistant ID with main access, but this round I forgot about getting one. That way I don't lose ID to PDA bombs either, but that's less important. I sometimes put the PDA away in a box temporarily because I plan to fill backpack completely with tools or other items.
Doing so prevents me from seeing PDA messages in chatlog though.
couldn't you make a bridge or somthing to pass the lava then break the wall? or no can do? I like ss13 but one of them games I'd rather watch for now.
lava is unbridgeable and can only be flown over or stood in by select creatures, also those green walls are unbreakable (usually) depending on the situation theyre used in
@@Squishrug lava can be bridged with an RCD thats why the ash ligger base has one
@@Squishrug yep RCD floors can make floors on lava (BUT it creates space wind which may push you in the lava, be careful) ... also with bone and sinew and goliath plates you can make a lava rowboat, otherwise wings or a flightpotion works, and borgs with lavaproof tracks can also traverse lava
@@Squishrug also those green walls, and the grey ones that look like it are unbreakable, period, only admins can break them
I remember putting liquid carpet on the lava before. To bad its patched. Made escaping from the syndy base easy.

How do you make it so your name sticks out with this red background?
That's done with the Byond (I assume) highlight setting. You can choose up to 5 words to highlight. The setting is in the cogwheel to the upper right in the chat window.
