I think in regards to the "sound" aspect in motorsport I think electric can still offer that. I went to the London E-Prix and was actually quite shocked how loud the cars actually ended up being and it also sounded quite decent. Granted nothing beats the screaming V10's of old F1 but the sound aspect is definitely there when you go see FE in person.
It's trying to get that across on TV which I think it fails quite hard at. It seems like it's quite hard to get across the sound of FE on TV.

Yeah old cars are getting like old war planes. Machinery and heritage abuse in the machinery to actually make these things work is dying. Trade the people who are machinists who've got machinery. They don't make any money for hobbies.
