    Hi John! Love your videos, you got me using HoneyBook last fall and have been loving it. As my business has been growing, I’ve had most questions around the finances and logistics of running my own business. I’d love to see a video on this topic, including tracking and managing taxes, income, and setting up an LLC. Thanks!!

    Hey John! I’ve found out about your channel four weeks ago and have been watching it nonstop! I absolutely love your videos and dedication, especially the full wedding days! I’m a 16 year old photographer myself, mainly doing street photography. Do you have any tips on how to build that out to doing portrait shoots and eventually even weddings? All the best!

    Thank you so much for this video! I have been doing photography for awhile now. I've booked a couple of clients this year, but I want to start getting organized and serious when it comes to booking clients this coming new year. (ESPECIALLY starting to use contracts!) Your videos are helping me plan out everything easier and I feel less intimidated using honeybook. Thank you!

    Any thoughts on how to switch from another service you were using for years?

    Hi John!! Great video. I have a question as I have just launched my photography company. I want to have a phone number specific for the company to list on my business cards. Does a crm like this offer me to plug in my own number to call clients from the software itself ?

    Hi John; thanks for being so clear and concise in your explanations. Would you recommend this CRM for corporate video clients as well?

    Hi John,
    Thanks for the detailed video. I'm thinking to get Honeybook for my business. I wanted to know if the promo code is still working or if there's any other code that you can share. Thanks.

    Hey, this was just the confirmation I needed to make the leap to Honeybook! But the link isn't offering the 50% off. I understand this is 3 years old, but I'm wondering if there's any way to get that 50% discount through you as an affiliate still?

    Does the app on your phone sync with your laptop

    • @jbivphotography
      @jbivphotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does. It's basically a desktop app and also an app on your phone so you're able to manage it from anywhere.

    I gave up on fujifilm today. Just packed all of it up to sell. I tried to like it, but when I got a final confirmation print back the other day it was enough for me. I bought their 2.8 lenses and gave it all I could. But the weird, mushy foliage was too awful for me. Weird circles of life, my first camera ever was the Fuji S2pro and then switched to Nikon then settled on canon. Skipping Nikon this time around and just going straight to canon. Thanks for all the Fuji videos. Think it’s a good camera for portraits. I just don’t do enough to allow for the lack of fine detail these cameras render

      Interesting. Thanks for sharing your journey with Fujifilm. I'm sorry to hear that you're leaving but at the end of the day it's all about photography. Glad you're finding what you want on other systems. ☺️

      @@jbivphotography for what’s it’s worth, I don’t think you’re pushy garbage. If I was a portrait/ wedding photographer this system would be great. I did my wife’s maternity pictures with my xt3 and 50-140 and they are great. And love your approach and content John. It’s the other guys saying you can print these massive wide angle landscape shots. You can’t, if there’s any sort of green vegetation in the shot it’s a yucky mess. I kept my xt20 and 35 f2 for family shots.

    hey what are your thoughts on Quickbooks I don't recall you speaking on it in the other things you need when starting a business

    • @jbivphotography
      @jbivphotography  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Quickbooks is cool for tracking your income and also invoicing but that's about it for me honestly. I've never really used it much. But I don't think it's bad.

    Hi John. Love this. Have you seen Real Estate Brokers use Honeybook? Thank you for these videos! Can I also use one account for Real Estate & videography?

    • @jbivphotography
      @jbivphotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've never seen a realtor use it however, I feel like it would totally be possible. I'm not very familiar with what the process is that you all would need but yes I could totally see you using it. Also, using one for video and real estate could work. It would just depend on your work load and how many clients are contacting you.

    Hey John. Is it fairly simple to upload your own contracts?

    • @jbivphotography
      @jbivphotography  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is. What takes the most time is updating your current contract to be more digital (ie. fields that auto populate based on session date/clients name etc.)

    How does Honeybook compare to sproutstudio?

    • @jbivphotography
      @jbivphotography  ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t had a chance to try out Sprout Studio but I have been hearing a lot about it. I’ve been using Honeybook for about 10 years at this point so I’m super biased towards it. But I’m not gona lie Sprout got my attention when I first saw it.

      @@jbivphotography The one thing thats a turn off for me anyway about Honeybook is they don’t offer a capability for clients to order and pay from your site in one sequence. They have to submit an inquiry and then we have to send them the invoice. This step can also be automated but in terms of conversion in the real estate space, agents book more frequently when they can order, schedule and pay in one sequence on your site
