The second half of the video has a fantastic song. My community's youth is constructing a dance similar to this video and would like to use the song. By any chance do you know the name of the song?
Trisha Uzih, I'm African American but my family has began to trace our DNA. We now know that a largest DNA is from the Nigeria region but now we want to know which tribe. I ironically married a Yoruba man from Lagos Nigeria before ever testing the DNA. My interest in knowing is we now have a daughter and plan to travel to Nigeria soon. I've asked people what tribe or region they think I might be and I've had a few say Akwa Ibom. I'd like to visit, especially if this is true. Thank you for posting this video. I appreciate seeing the different cultures in West Africa and especially Nigeria. I hope to come "home" one day ♥️
Am from akwa ibom leaving in Ghana, when I see this I was very very happy thank for showing up I love❤❤❤❤ you guys from your sister, I wish I can see the song in TikTok I will dance and make my self happy and post it ,❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤.
Thanks for sharing this, Zainab & Mathew Create. Awesome job! I didn't know I could find this on here. Been 30 years I saw anything like this. Reminds me of my days growing up in Nigeria. I miss this culture. Thanks for sharing :-)
I wish more Akwa Ibom people can promote their cultural dance like this instead of going to struggle ekombi that clearly belongs to the Efik people. They end up promoting another person's culture leaving theirs. See how beautiful this dance is.
GEEEEZ😯... those drums😨!!!! and that beat is something else all together!!! and we wonder how rappers get the instinctual sense to beat and rhyme in rhythm & synchronization...
The culture of people is deeply ingrained within the psyche of the people and genetically transmitted to future generations. The dancers in this video are wonderful. 👍
It's our pleasure to share our culture! Leave a "like" and help us grow our channel with a subscription! Thanks!
