Boost Sole Swap Tutorial! 'Poor Man' Yeezy V2! 'Pirate Black' Custom

Here are the steps if you are interested in trying this!
Start with Video 1 tutorial to remove straps: • 'Poor Man' Yeezy?! Str...
1- boil water, drop in your Primeknit Tubulars
2- Cut the upper off the Pure Boost sole, clean up materials so its minimal!
3- Paint Midsole Black tutorial here: • How To black out adida...
4- Remove sole (BE PATIENT!) on Tubular Primeknit
5- Shake the Barge cement, apply to part of midsole and upper
6- Use heat gun on area with cement until it bubbles and press together.
7- Repeat
8- Touch up where needed

For the pureboost you should of just poured hot water into them so it can melt the glue from inside
And for the tubular a you shouldn't of put it in the pot but have it on top not touching the water and let the steam melt the glue so it can come out cleaner

I seriously want to see an ultraboost sole on these. They're tight! I would've kept them white but all in all looks alright. Glad I stumbled onto this channel.

Its like the ultimate comfort you can ever get lol. Try to black out the prime knit next and to take things further, add a piece of suede to it 🔥🔥🔥 good work 👍👍👍
The steam is hotter than the water, water boils at a certain temperature, and after it evaporates. You shouldn't have to submerge the item. And for that front toe cap residue, all I could think to try is heat or goo gone or something like that. Love the idea, you can find pure boost in some places on the clearance rack.
When you do the boiling water method you're supposed to put the hot water in the shoe, not dunk it in the water because if you pour it you can get a pretty even coverage which gives you a WAY cleaner finishing product. Plus it avoids shrinking or damaging the prime knit unlike just leaving it in the water
Maybe try and use sandpaper to sand down the toe box?
Or a fingernail filer

Those actually look cool and with the toe box problem use ultra boost sole or leave toe box there and blend it in with sole

Try inverting the upper then put alcohol in the inverted side of the toe box and cover it with a towel then iron it. It is effective in taking out prints so i guess itll work the same
these actually look really good. the primeknit looks kinda wrinkled up, due to the water/boiling maybe?

Would you ever pay that much for a premium pureboost? I know it's fun as a custom, but that's too much work and money for me.
And I don't know too many people, if any, who actually paid $1000 for yeezys

pour the boiling water into the shoe and let it stay in there for couple minutes and then try to separate and if doesn't work repeat process. for the left over mid-sole use acetone to remove

Instead of picking at the stuff left on the toe of the Tubular, I would file it down til it was rounded and smooth then just paint over it black like you did with the other shoe
I've never worn adidas boost shoes but watching the on feet they look super squishy... Very soft boost material.
Also, I would have also painted the out soles 100% including the bottoms and also added a sole protector, as you can see from the on foot view you can see where you stopped painting.
im honestly about to go buy a pair of both shoes and try this its honestly pretty cool
I think this custom is way better looking than the Yeezy's, I wished Adidas just release Tubular uppers with boost with a reasonable price.

try using nail polish remover for the white stuff on the tip
Instead of trying to rip the toe cap off. I would have tried sanding it down until you got very close to the primeknit them painted it, but like you said the ultra boost would also look nice.

When ungluing the tubular , on the toe box use acetone , it should remove that midsole stuff
Hes you should use an Ultra Boost sole as the toe area wraps up and could be a better fit for the Tubular primeknit upper

IDEA: take that rubber toe guard from the pure boost, cut it off the upper, then barge cement it to the tubular upper.

those are definitely tiight. to get rid of the left overs on the toes box u could have jus gotten a nail file (not metal) and sanded it down til it was pretty much jus a very thin layer on the shoe. acetone probably would have gotten rid of the rest and of needed hit it with the dye instead of paint so it doesn't have that hardend look on the toe. I don't know. jus what I would have tried.

Should have maybe tried ultra boost sole because at the toe the outsole goes up onto prime knit so it would have maybe silver that problem

Usually acetone works to remove the shoe from the sole
If you were able to swap them out perfectly (none of the boost ripping. Finding out a way to not have residue where it goes up on the front) they would be dope. I mean they still look dope. I'd buy them. And i dont mean if Adidas made them i mean if you were to sell them
