It’s hard to watch Don and the skeg guys and not want a renegade 1000. I’ve been looking at them a lot and throwing around the idea of switching the outlander for one…and Seth goes and buys a used one. So awesome. Love the content and so excited for the videos. Also love the 650 build I replicated the cvtech clutching to achieve same performance out of mine and its dialed. So thanks for that. Keep up the great videos.

I have a 2019 canam renegade 1000 xmr as well and its kind of cool watching you guys tinker with it love the channel i was here before you guys get bigger
I had a similar situation with a Regenade but the previous owner hid several major issues and was anything but honest . He used silicone to seal up the fuel pump instead of using the proper seal. Self tapping screw and silicone as oil pan drain plug. The chain tension adjustment maxed out . Changed the ecm and gauge cluster for lower mileage and hid the fact it was maxed tuned. One chain broke and piled up when I was unloading it from my truck after the purchase . I had the engine rebuilt and fixed everything but had electrical gremlins . Wouldn’t start when at operating temperature. Had ti let it cool off then start. 6 months of frustration later I sold it . Gave the new owner all my receipts and explained what happened. Total of $7500 invested . Sold it for $2500. Ended up buying a new quad and happy trails ever since.
We’ve bought plenty of projects before. Unfortunately going into some, you never know what you could be getting. Sometimes you can’t even trust new machines. I went through my whole 2020 Outlander when I bought it new because I found a loose snorkel hose clamp and ended up finding a loose intake clamp as well. It definitely sucks you had issues with yours man. I hope you’re enjoying the new machine! 🤘🏼

Where did you and Seth meet?
We actually met in our hard rock band, Years Apart. If you look up Yearsapart1 on TH-cam you can see some older live videos. Our old drummer’s wife played softball with Seth’s wife. He invited Seth up to be a singer and we’ve been friends since. We’ve been rocking for well over 10 years now. One day we’ll put our channel trailer together to tell everyone the story🤘🏼

Side to side play on rods is normal up and down is a no no
Yes sir! I was trying to show it in the video but we couldn’t get a clear shot. Either way, if the bearings are sticking like that they’re done. 🤘🏼

Them rod bearings are smoked. Small piece of unsolicited
wisdom. Side to side play in the rod is normal, any up and down play at all is bad and needs new bearings.
