The funny thing about watching yours and PancreasNoWork's content is that I'm really into warhammer lore but I know almost jackshit about tabletop rules so whenever he starts talking about tabletop stats I'm just sitting there and going "ahh yes, those are words. That is a number. I don't know what these terms mean so I'll just take your word on it when you say they're good, bad, or average"
In defence of “scout titans”: when you can peak over the horizon and have the best scanners, radars, telescopes, etc. around it really doesn’t matter that you’re big as a building. Especially when you’re relatively fast.
Relatively?? They are stupidly fast for their size. On tabletop they have a base movement of 14”, and auto advanced 8”, for a max speed of 22”, which is faster than aircraft in hover mode. Your big bot is faster than tanks and armigers.
@@averageeughenjoyer6429True and they can probably see further but if you can see the enemy they can see you. Sending in the cheaper and faster ones is probably a fair trade for view distance.
@@averageeughenjoyer6429 True but you might still give a way the location of an unsupported Emperor class titan and it takes a while for it to get anywhere. Tbf, I've heard that things like tanks don't necessarily have the morale-boosting effect on your allies that you might want them to, because it can make troops think they're not as necessary, and that they should be more careful while allowing the tank to do more of the job and get more of the enemy attention. So I could see titans having a similar performance-dampening effect in 40k. Granted, people in 40k are probably braver, and more emotionally invested in their nation than most real life soldiers are, so maybe they would see titans as inspirational rather than as an excuse to lay low.
Propaganda is probably what makes it more of a moral boost since tanks are what everyone sees but titans is like seeing a walking US Supercarrier with it being rumored to be the righteous fist of God himself. It could also be both with it slowly going to the side you said after a while of it being in the field.
3,200 dollars for a fully assembled Reaver Titan. Most likely including taxes. Probably the full cost of an entire Imperial Guard (or Orks) army, assuming that the math is done right.

I am really disappointed at the fact that PancreasNoWork claims that the Dire Wolf Titan is ripping off BattleTech. I’ve heard this a few to many times to be overly okay with people not knowing that. The Dire Wolf Titan was first published in the original Adeptus Titanicus game, that came out before BattleTech even had the Clans. It also is in no way actually similar to the Dire Wolf Omni Mech. And I am not at all happy that this video now further tells this false claim. Apart form that, it’s as always a good video from pancreas and a good reaction from you. I just wanted to share my this with the comment section, to try and combat that myth/lie
If there was an STC for Titans (especially Emperor Class) the mechanicus would stop at ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to obtain it.
They rewarded two planets for an STC of a sharper knife. Imagine the length they'd go for a Titan STC.
