Darjeeling India • how to have BEST DAY & BEST HOTEL to stay in the Himalayas

Darjeeling India, once a summer resort for the elite British Raj, is nestled high in the Himalayan mountains in India’s West Bengal state. From most homesteads on a clear day, one can see Mt. Kanchenjunga, the 3rd highest peak in the world. There are villages here where Tibetan, Nepalese, Hindu, Buddhist, Indian, Muslim and Christian all enjoy a harmonious life. Nepal & Bhutan can be a short drive assuming no danger of landslides. In this video we will enjoy a visit to Mahakal temple and village walk through Darjeeling tea plantations. Also I will take you on a tour of my best hotel in India. I will show you my room at the Mayfair Darjeeling hotel which was once a summer home to a king in the early 1900’s. Also we will enjoy a brief ride on the historic Himalayan toy train to to village of Ghum.
