Thank you so much, Henry! I’m so glad you enjoyed the walking tour. As for planning routes, I often let the charm of the area guide me-I like to wander and discover hidden gems along the way. If you’re starting out, try focusing on well-known spots first, then explore quieter streets for unique perspectives. Good luck with your videos-I’m sure they’ll be amazing!
My 4x great grandfather the Rev. Benjamin Beddome built what is now the Old Manse Hotel. He preached in an older version of the Baptist Church that you filmed. Thanks so much for the tour!
@historyhardy5529 Wow, what an incredible family connection to Bourton-on-the-Water! It’s amazing to hear about your 4x great grandfather’s legacy with the Old Manse Hotel and the Baptist Church. I’m so glad you enjoyed the tour-thank you for sharing this wonderful history!

Yes, lovely ! A warning to anyone wanting to stay at the ‘Old Manse Hotel’ , if you ask for a quiet room they will give you something upstairs at the back, right where the jet engined kitchen heat extractor fan exits. You may also be alarmed when you see the fire door upstairs propped open with a fire extinguisher!
@tangatoto362 Thank you for sharing your experience! That’s definitely good to know for anyone planning a stay. Hopefully, they address those issues to make it more comfortable for future guests!
@harrydance1969 Thank you for your feedback! I always try to showcase the charm and beauty of these towns, but there’s always more to explore. If you have any specific spots you think I should include next time, I’d love to hear your suggestions!
Will do. (On Google Earth street view you can do a quick reconnaissance to find the best streets before you visit and have a bit of a plan). Keep up the good work - I still enjoy your videos! Kind regards HD.

@wildflowerwind6941 Parking can definitely be a challenge in Bourton-on-the-Water, especially during busy times. It’s such a popular spot! I hope you were still able to enjoy the beautiful village.
These are historical towns and villages not planned for car but sprung for comfort of walking, horses and carriages. And I wouldn’t want it to be converted into American cities with huge box stores with miles of parking. And you know many or stone houses have stood there for centuries with same family inhabiting them and as a future Migrant to do my MRCPsych I would respect that fact to preserve unique cultural heritage of UK and just to add a tinge of colour of my culture not to force it.

There is no where to park a car and shop in the stores.

We visited Bourton last August and were able to park at Lower Slaugther, 10 minutes walk
