    The F16...still looks like it's not of this world, yet has been in service since the 70's. A simply superb design. Louder than HELL when in trans sonic burner!

    Very nice footage! The Audio is amazing! You can feel that tearing rumble from the AB! The Fighting Falcon! One of last modern Singles.

    All the while just remember these planes and pilots are not even coming close to reaching the capability of man or machine. Just makes it that much more impressive of what the planes and more importantly the pilots are truly capable of in a combat situation. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of this. Great video, God bless our service men and women👍

    Kinda cool to see the thunderbirds on blue angel turf. Can't wait for the blues when they transition to the super bug.

      Super bug's not as fast flat out, nor as elegant looking! I suppose it might have superior rate of climb?

      Malcolm Reynolds oh I meant the Hornet vs the Rhino. They won't have the Lightning in large-enough numbers for years to let either Thunderbirds or Angels fly em

    Spencer, do you have any thoughts on why No.3 was carrying a centerline tank? I mean, I can appreciate strapping it on for the travel from Nellis, but keeping it on during high G maneuvering seems like unnecessary drag.

    • @jeffyork7231
      @jeffyork7231 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      #3 is a D model. The D model tank is replaced with second seat. Saves time not dropping the tank. It may be used after practice for a Demo ride. With #4 missing in the formation appears it was a busy day for the "Boys".

    • @siouxperb5570
      @siouxperb5570 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because it is a D model with reduced fuel capacity.

    • @siouxperb5570

      3 was down for some reason. 4 moved to the right wing to balance the formation.

    Where is their slot pilot?

    • @siouxperb5570
      @siouxperb5570 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      On the right wing. Apparently 3 was down for whatever reason.

  • @bigd-1-channel514
    @bigd-1-channel514 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wow!! 0:43 a full roll on take off at 100 feet! Slow rolls, the Blue do not do those anymre, and it seems nobody does true 8 point rolls. Nice video.

    • @Ryan-pm5ss
      @Ryan-pm5ss 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, the Blues do a dirty roll on takeoff still, and the blues have never done an 8 point roll. they used to do a 5 point, but now theyre only doing the opposing 4 point hesitation roll.

  • @MLOCharmer
    @MLOCharmer 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Different, they do really like to barrel roll. A lot.

  • @carlhursh505

    Where happened to the Slot #6 Jet?

    • @siouxperb5570
      @siouxperb5570 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The #6 is opposing solo, but the #4 jet is flying the right wing in this demo. You can see the drop tank and second cockpit of the D model quite clearly. For whatever reason, the #3 jet (or, most likely, pilot, as they have two additional spares wherever they go) was downed today for some reason. So to balance the formation, four moves to the right wing.
