The First French Republic was only created due to the French people starving under the monarch. Spain's monarchy was only abolished and a republic created because its monarchs and the people they chose were incompetent and corrupt. The Weimar Republic really wasn't at fault for losing the war, becoming a republic wasn't the issue but losing the First World War and getting a terrible economy due to it was..which was caused by the German monarchy allying with Austria-Hungary during WW1. The Dutch Republic wasn't a failure due to it being a republic but was due to it being involved in several major European wars as well as disagreements in the government. Russia was a feudalist nation under the absolute monarchy and their sabotage or killing of anyone who tried to oppose them led to the Russian revolution and the Russian civil war and at least they don't have literal fucking serfdom now despite being a shithole still. China under the Qing dynasty during its decline was one of the worst, with the bonus of government corruption and complacency by the monarch, the Kuomintang made plenty of mistakes but the PRC did make it from a feudalistic agricultural nation into an authoritarian almost-superpower.
