My wedding processional, played on an organ similar to this one, my eyes fixed on my wonderful, handsome groom as I walked down the aisle toward him. One of the happiest days of my life!

Our processonal as well, in 1973 when it was a very popular wedding march. Aeolian Skinner organ, not as grand as the one here, but very good. We were proverbial starving grad students at UCLA, but our friends assembled a very competent choir, and another friend, a music professor, did the honors on the organ. Low-budget, but first class. (Reception was cake and punch in the church basement, but back the not everyone expected a lavish reception. Our sons gave us the reception dinner we never had for our 50th wedding anniversary -- the elder one has a great kitchen, and the younger one is a superb chef.)

I don't think a rearview mirror is that unusual in an organ - useful for the organist to see the choirmaster or similar. Our little school chapel organ had one (Barnard Castle, Co. Durham, England).
(I always wanted to rig a picture of a police car to pop up behind it to startle the organist …)

Another great performance Jonathan, it's a pity the iPad speakers don't do justice to this magnificent organ. This is the first time I have heard of this fine instrument, Foster and Andrews were a very reputable firm as was John Compton. The instrument is in fine fettle considering the last rebuild was 1951 or so we are led to believe by the two builders given in the credits at the end of the video. I am sure some work must have been done leatherwork and such in the intervening years not counting a wash and brush up as we in the organ building world used to call a cleaning and restoration. A very nice instrument, beautifully played, thanks again to the Scott brothers for bringing it to us.
