For anyone who cares, the tool bag I use is a tech xl veto pro bag. If full it does get heavy, but they also have a wheeler version of the Tech xl bag that you can wheel around. These are amazing bags that I would highly recommend using. Hopefully this will be helpful to someone.

I have a Eureka "Workzone Toolbox Vac" -- carries darn near all of the tools and supplies you mentioned -- including strings -- and has a built in vacuum cleaner w/intake and outblow. I live in a very dry dusty area and so, as a courtesy, I can run the vacuum inside the piano when I do a tuning -- I can also do a complete keybed cleaning which apparently doesn't get done very often -- customers have told me they have never had a tuner/tech recommend this.

I can't find your toolbox vac in stock anywhere - sounded like a good idea, but appears to be out of production....

Amazon, Overstock, E-bay -- google Eureka tool box vacs. Also Dyson makes them

I went to all those places - found listings, but nothing in stock - no joy....

I like your main tool bag It looks very neat. I work on more old pianos than most. so I need to carry more stuff than that.

Very informative video. It is interesting to see what you bring to the job in the field. It appears that you could handle most common repairs, regulation and tunings. Do you not use felt wedges on grand piano tunings? What about a treble stick mute for upright pianos? Well, one could go on. Of course we have different approaches. I enjoyed your video and look forward to the next. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for watching Jim. For most of the piano including on grands I use the temperament strips. In the treble section I just use small rubber mutes with handles where there are dampers. Yes, I realize that everyone has different preferences on mutes. This is just what I use.

We do sell a voicing block similar to the Steinway Voicing block that I carry in my tools. Here is a link: www.howardpianoindustries.com/medium-piano-hammer-voicing-rest-block/. The Steinway voicing block I actually got at a PTG meeting where one of the technicians was giving away a bunch of stuff that they didn't use anymore.
