- In this video I take you along for an adventure through my 2023 Utah archery mule deer hunt. This hunt was definitely one for the books!
I never have had a Utah archery mule deer tag in my pocket before. I spent more time scouting, learning, and patterning bucks like I never have before the 2023 archery season. I spent more time in the hills then ever before and spent more time hunting than ever before pursuing these elusive grey ghosts!
My one and only goal going into the 2023 season was to try and get a mature mule deer with my bow for the first time! I show you how many days in the field I spent going after these majestic animals. I made many mistakes , missed some shots, learned valuable lessons, and made countless memories through this entire season and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Madi and I watched this together. She had 11 years of downs before she killed her first deer 2 years ago. Being able to help her with that was something I’ll never forget either. The highs and lows of bowhunting Mule deer. My year was so frustrating . . . even had 25 deer in one frame. Nothing. And then when you think it's not going to happen, it does. Congrats on the success, excellent story and lessons. All good stuff.

I got my first archery buck last year it wasent out inna mountains but it was 57 yard quartered away and I double lungged him
What tripod head are you running?
You’ll get better penetration if your bow was tuned right. Arrow went pretty wonky when it left bow in the first GoPro shot
