“Now here’s the thing, I don’t actually have any money” and then he runs but can’t get caught cause he’s gassed from the squats.
Smart
LOL, free content!
He has his machine now .
@@rajvirsangha6430 What if he just took the machine out of the gym in front of him?
😂😂
He should have gone a bit lower on that depth
Why no reason to go lower
@@armorplates8848 he wasn’t parallel

He stopped at 12 because he heard you only had $60 left.. working smart AND hard 👍
$80*, he corrected himself after
“That’s twelve”

that ain’t 90 degrees but respect to bro for at least putting in the effort. just needs some mobility work
Literally no cares what you have to say
It was bro just wasn’t below 90
@@DuskJaeger13 😂😂😭
@@DuskJaeger13 🤡
There's a difference between 90 degrees and parallel. That was 90 degrees but not parallel
He was very generous about the depth.
If this man came to me i would get 0 lol
Weak

Same bro. And I actually pursue fitness. Pathetic af.
I believe in “ass to grass” supremacy, so yes! I would increase the depth of those squats.
Bro my legs won’t let me squat that low ☹️
@@BobbyHiII mobility, research, you can 100% unlock ass to grass just find what works for your hip and ankle mobility
@@BobbyHiII stretch than
@@BobbyHiII bro it's almost certainly your hip flexers, work on em
I believe in money 😂
respect to anyone who CAN go lower than that. my knees say no.
Hip mobility problem tbh
His squat depth got higher and higher.
I wonder if he just calls the first person out or just stands in the parking till he likes someone.
Now that I’ve watched squat university looks like some ankle tightness and a bit of hinging. Just kidding looks good! Great work
Ledgend has it that not a single rep was done that day
He sounds like my old teacher in 9th grade for 7th period. He was the best.
He is an amazing man , trying to get everyone fit ,appreciate that.
the depth isnt great, but if he goes a little lower he looks like he could still get to 8 easy
More like 5 at 90degrees
Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. 😅 too nice with it.
On what standards. . ? Its a great range of motion, around the average or more than what you would regularly see at a gym. If it would be green lighted at a tournament (which it would) why wouldnt they count in a parking lot 💀 u a math matetion? Archetect perhaps? 😅 I think he did great
Yeah he good
His knees were buckling on rep 1 and he was not low enough... but he racks his own weights so that's cool
This is crunch in simi!
Depth was way high....🙄
I did a squat! 🤪
I’m an atg guy….those were a far cry from all the way down
But Kudos for the gettin in there and giving it your all. Respect
Do a video where you offer $100 for a true ATG squat. Full ROM.
My guy took the whole 60 bucks left 😂
"Ass to grass my ass"- that dude probably because there's money involved
I counted 0
He was not going low enough
I do 7 reps atg with 2 blown knees. I feel so weak but it’s my current limit sadly.
A 90 degree squat is achieved when a 90 degree angle is made at the knee joint. Because your tibia pushes forward when squatting, 90 degrees is achieved before your femur is parallel with the floor.
A parallel squat is when your femur is parallel with the floor. The angle at your knee will be less than 90 degrees.
Then you have a deep squat when your femur goes below parallel.
None are wrong. It all comes down to why your squatting and what your mobility is like. Especially ankle flexion.
The crease between legs and upper body should be parallel with the knees (ipf rules if I remember correctly)
Bro every rep was above parallel
Bring it to Florence, AL! Hometown love
Them kneeees
You better have more than $80 for me man, 225 is LIGHTWEIGHT
I mean it wasn't exactly parallel but it was still good
I know he squatted down to see those glutes, not form.
“Reps”
How about Zer0
I wish I could do this just once.
Good work Jay :P
Bro the knee at the start
90° seems do be a matter of opinion nowadays
i was watching his parallel the whole time i think its passable
Definitely needs to go lower but that’s very respectable
His knees buckled in with some of the reps :/
12 No-Reps
He's always saying that shit
I wish I could take part in this
Sorry man, those were all high.
Counting his reps: $0 $0 $0 $0 $0 $0
He knew that depth was whack lol
Need to go deeper
He's above parallel
I wouldn’t have given him a dime #nodepth
I love how he just squats down right in front of that dudes ASS he knew what he was doing
Ya his depth was good
no it wasn’t lmao
Yes it was lol
His depth was too high
@@jd0879 anything at or below parallel counts
Anything past 6 was not low enough. Close. But you gotta be picky when you are giving money away
People saying 90deg forget that the knee comes forward during the movement. However, he could have gone lower since he did those so easily
And not a single rep was done that day...
No one is this comment section has ever been to the gym, but apparently they are all PT’s.. 🤦♂️
"good form!" Meanwhile homie is half squatting, knee caving, and hip shifting.
Me at the Pearly Gates
Jesus: Did you squat to depth?
Me: Yes of course…90 degrees
Jesus: *Spartan kicks me to hell for not squatting ATG
lil shallow but he’s getting it
Never even squatted one
Imagine he just starts quarter squatting
Love he said 90 degrees but in other videos they don't get close
He might do better with low bar while working on his mobility. I don't really know tho
Some of those are not below the hip crease. Most were.
Legit depth looked like shit to me. But I've always thought the top of the leg should pass 90 degrees, not the middle should touch 90 degrees.
1, 1, 1, 1…
I’m 13 and I can do that
He just slightly above parallel
ZERO
He didn't even go just below the knee joint.
ass to grass he would fail on 1? half reps!
Need to come to Athens Ga
90 isn’t depth. Hip crease at or below your knee is
Bring enough money dude
Atg only, everything else is a compromise -
or powerlifting folk can work within the rules of the sport
He didn’t do a single rep
Stop saying 90°. 90° is a misnomer. There is no 90° angle, it's _parallel,_ as in _parallel_ to the floor. If your knee makes a 90° angle, you're still _above parallel._
Lost exactly his $60. Had he not revealed how much money he really had he would’ve pushed I can tell.
I don't care about how deep u go. As long as your trying I'm good. GET SOME
Below parallel my guy
Jay i heart you very much
higher than cheech my man..
Last few were a little high but overall just need to fire the glutes more so you take the load off your low back 👌🏻
Regarding taking the load off the back. This happens with me when i do squats. My lower back gets worked a lot as well. What can I do so that my lower back isn't involved much?
@@neelashpandita3989 squat barefoot, imagine in your head that you’re driving your hips up through the ceiling as you come up and really push with your legs and hips and don’t try to pull your body up with your back.
@@Horndog08 thank you. I will try that.
People complaining about his depth. Bro is going for as many reps as he can for some money. It really doesn't matter if it's at 90 or 95 degrees, he's squatting.
just bearly hit 90 for half the reps i say count 5 for him
Powerlifter - depth??
I might be able to do 20 giving everything I’ve got
A lot of his squats were 90 degrees.
This guy has his short shorts hemmed
Last week I did a challenge like this at my gym with a couple of other guys. Most reps with 225. I did 43, ass to the grass. I won, but just barely. Guy in second place did 42.
Good story bro
And then you backflipped out of the squat rack, all the yoga girls squealed with delight whilst you asked the prettiest one out for a date before skateboarding out of the gym whilst everyone clapped.
@@Trust1878 Yes, and there were also sad clowns from the late 1800s. Mark Twain was there too, so he can confirm that this story is true.
Start lifting 👌💪
Bro hit most the reps at like 90-95 degrees and the comments be freaking out😂🤣
More like 80 degrees I go to 110 every time or it don’t count
@@elbabatunde8580 110 would be not a full squat, 90 is perfectly flat and then when you go lower the numbers decrease
@@charlesyoung3444 we are measuring the angle from opposite sides of the hips, but yk what I mean, it would be 70°
Fr
85 degree squats
That isnt 90 degrees
i can only do 10 with 100 lbs 💀
that ain’t bad at all, we all start somewhere
He's deep enough since you're counting his reps!
That being said idc if you go parallel, a2g or slightly above parallel, aslong as you're properly loading your muscles your good to go. Didn't seem like this guy was properly loading his muscles though
Going to parallel or below parallel is much better for your knees. Stopping above parallel doesn’t utilize a proper range of motion and puts unnecessary stress on your knees.
@@jasondutton2531 nah, pressure on your quad tendons are the highest at the 90° angle and tension on pattelar tendon increases the lower you go. Parallel and below put alot more emphasis on the quads while slightly above puts more emphasis on hams and glutes. Depending on what muscle you want to target you can easily alter the excercise. Also biomechanics play a big role in the Squat. Femur & torso length (&overall body composition) and overall mobility (especially on ankles) play a big part when picking the Squat that suits you best.
I do recommend everyone to somewhat train their legs in full range of motion, but i wouldn't necessarily say it's the best excercise for overloading your muscles for everyone.
I'm not saying people should do quarter squats (maybe at most as a very specific accessory lift), but simply going 0-15% above parallel isn't suddenly destroying your Squat gains and can actually offer extra benefits compared to a2g Squats.
People should just listen to their body and do whats best for them. The nowadays below parallel/a2g elitism tries to enforce a movement pattern on the general public that's not necessarily optimal for all of them.
Let’s go joelll
