So glad a lot of you are loving this! I know my dad would of been happy to have his memories shared like this. I can still remember him as a boy slaving over his 8mm hand cranked preview projector with the splicer in front of it, tirelessly splicing together his footage like a studio director (he was a movie script writer).
My Dad took us kids there in the summer of '69 as well. Reminds me of the films Dad made of our trip. We loved the Tiki Room and It's a Small World. The best was Pirates of the Caribbean. Wonderful memories! ❤️ Thanks.
Even more amazing than what's changed at Disneyland is how very much remains exactly the same. Thanks for sharing the magic! You made a beautiful film.
+Robert J. Holtz HELLO ROBERT! IT'S ME! DAVID! FROM CA! How are you? Its so great to see the old home movies from Disneyland from the 1960's when I was a boy! I hope you will have time to tell me your thoughts on the Star Wars Land updates on Fresh Baked Disney!
I remember the summer of 69 D-Land very well. Lived in Fullerton, and my best friend's brother was a sweeper there. So not only did we get in free but had tons of e-tickets; we were there a lot! Thanks for bringing back Disneyland when I was Nine years old!
Thanks! so much for posting ! looks like our home movies from the 1960's when I was a boy!, I have been collecting Disneyland items for over 50 years! David From Ca.
This is fantastic, thank you for sharing this. At about 1:42 you can see the Haunted Mansion in the background, it wasn't opened yet...oh man, so close. Would've loved to have seen The HatBox Ghost at that time.
I don't think this is Summer of 69 because I see a Christmas tree and the distance and they didn't do Christmas trees all year long they're back then. Also people wearing sweaters it's hot in Southern California in the summer.

Thanks for posting. August, 1969 was our family trip to California, including a visit to Disneyland. Fun times and great memories!

I've got a question. If this was shot during 1969, was the Haunted Mansion open yet? If so, did you ride it and see the hatbox ghost?
It opened in August,8,69.
Sadly no - I believe this was just prior to the opening.
I'm pretty sure it was a 1969 attempt at the inside of It's A Small World with no lighting :)
Do you remember what the clock sounded like in the 60s
At 7:56 what ride was it?

Not to mention everybody being bundled up in the first half of the video, but where's the Christmas tree?
