Wow! I always used to get really confused about Alpha. And it was often trial and error. Just your simple statement of thinking of Alpha as "Alpha Transparency" made it click into place in my head! Thanks 🙏
Hey Ron, I am totally amazed by this masterpiece of a video tutorial and I do appreciate it loads. My goal is to realize a Camtasia 2023 template with placeholders for both - the contentvideo and - a round talking head, like you present it here. My issue here is When I drag & drop the video content to the video placeholder, everything fits in perfectly fine. Everytime I drag and drop my speakervideo the shaped round placeholder, camtasia completely destroys the arrangement and drops a minized, squared video of the speaker 🤷♂️ Is there a solution for this to drag and drop a speaker vid to a round talkinghead and keep the round shape? All the more with a nice white border around? Loads of appreciation for an answer 🙏🏼🐬🔆
That looks like a great feature. Unfortunately, I'm stuck using 2019 until I can resolve my 2021 issue. When I record with 2021, the audio and video are out of synch and in slow motion. When I record in 2019 and upload it to 2021, I have the same issue. 2019 is running flawlessly. I'll have to put some time aside and figure it out. I've tried a few tips to resolve the issue, but no luck so far.
Bummer. Alpha is one of my top new features in Camtasia. I believe you tried using proxy videos, right? I would also make sure that in your Preferences (press Ctrl Comma) that your graphics card is selected in the Advanced tab under Hardware Acceleration. Last, if you haven't yet, open a new customer support case or chat session with TechSmith. They have been incredibly helpful when I've had technical issues.
@@CamAnswers Thanks for replying, I tried creating and deleting the proxy setting, and made sure my GPU was selected. I'll report it to TechSmith,t hanks. It's just weird that 2019 doesn't need any tweaking to run properly on the exact same videos.
@@OfficeMystic No problem. It's not entirely surprising to me. I had a similar issue. There's a video created outside of Camtasia that plays perfectly in 2019 and 2020 but when I bring it into 2021, it loses several frames and is very choppy. I reached out to TechSmith. They were able to reproduce and acknowledged that it's some kind of bug on their end. I wonder if what you're experiencing is the same thing.

Thx!
How did you know I needed that, when not even I knew I needed that??
Hahahaha. The universe knew you needed that. 😊
