I just love Martha and Lucy Thomas. I have been following them for a couple of years now. I am probably about your age so I love the older songs. I just found this channel and subscribed. I am in awe of the great young talent out there that are playing old songs. They love the music we grew up with and I think that's great. I would like to suggest a new young artist that plays lots of old stuff but another time. I need to see more of your videos ans see what you like to review. gl with the channel, it really sounds like this will be good.
Great analysis of the incredibly talented Lucy and Martha performing this classic cover. Martha is not 2 years younger, she's actually 5 years and 8 months younger than Lucy who is currently 20 years old.
Hello Mr Mindset " What A Wonderful World " I remember when Louis Armstrong brought this beautiful song out in the 60's Lucy is 5 years 8 months older than than Martha, Martha Thomas has just had her 15th Birthday Lucy Thomas is coming up to her 21st Birthday. These two sisters must be up there as the best young sisters duet in the world & listening to them singing this beautiful song is the reason why. Take care, Barbara.
Thank you for reacting to this beautiful rendition of the wonderful song first recorded by Louis Armstrong. Lucy and Martha (5 years, 8 months younger) Thomas perform their usual magic. Martha’s voice is maturing beautifully and her technique is a rival to Lucy’s. The harmonies of the sisters can only be called heavenly. The Thomases and this song certainly make this old world seem a better place.
@@stuartwhyte4959 Sorry but the info bit played as an intro is wrong on Martha's age and birthdate. anyone doing the research knows the truth but to publish wrong info is misleading !! And obviously that "commentator was wrong !!! I will not stand by and see wrong info published. Besides what I write is none of your business !!!
@wilburfinnigan2142 Yes the intro was wrong and your fellow commenters corrected it, it is only you who persists in the need to quote exact dates repeatedly, surely once on the initial error is enough. The error has been made known numerous times by you and others. You do not need to duplicate your post to people who know the truth but for obvious reasons don’t feel the need to be precise. You have done it once why can’t you leave it alone. As for it not being my business what you write, do you expect everything you write to go without comment. If so, you have a grandiose opinion of your contribution to debate but everyone in the Lucy Thomas community knows that.
@@wilburfinnigan2142 Sorry for the typographic error, Wilbur. Finally, was on a platform where I could correct it and have done so. To me, there is no reason to publish the birthday of the sisters as that is personally identifiable information.
Beautiful rendition from the girls!,Louis Armstrong would be proud I'm sure! (Pronounced Lewy!) Lucy will be 21 next February,Martha was 15 earlier this month!.😊
Satchmo was cool,i played cornet in High school so he was at the top back then. O learned of Lucy Thomas thru that special song about David and the music in the Bible
I liked the résumé of the sisters before playing the video and your reaction, but a shame that their ages were incorrectly stated - currently 20 (Lucy) and 15 (Martha) although the video was released when Lucy was 19 and Martha still only 13! 😊
Great reaction Mr. Mindset, Lucy and Martha have the most beautiful harmonies. With Christmas coming up, you'll definitely want to play and react to Lucy and Martha's mind blowing harmonies: “O HOLY NIGHT”; - Ages 17 and 12 th-cam.com/video/Bbu6AII10Pk/w-d-xo.html "MARY DID YOU KNOW" - Ages 19 and 14 th-cam.com/video/YNp4BP-QcLY/w-d-xo.html Enjoy, Hopelessly Addicted in Arizona
Sorry but you have Marthas age wrong, she was born Nov 4 2009 making her 5 years and 8 months younger than Lucy.....who will be 21 on Feb 21 2025.........
I truly appreciate helpful insights! The fact remains, Louis Daniel Armstrong was indeed born and raised in New Orleans, where French influences might have led some to refer to him as "Lou-ee." However, Armstrong himself preferred the anglicized pronunciation, "Lewis," and this became the standard way he was addressed throughout his life. He would often correct people to use "Lewis" rather than "Lou-ee." If you watch interviews, such as his appearance on The Dick Cavett Show, you’ll hear him pronounce his own name as "Lewis Armstrong." He made it clear how he wanted to be addressed. While some took liberties to call him "Lou-ee," he never personally requested it or encouraged it. The man knew exactly how he wanted his name to be spoken, and we respect that. Thanks for engaging with this discussion! For the most clarification, go to 12:35 of the following video and you can hear what he says his name is----th-cam.com/video/OusPn2SIerk/w-d-xo.html
Not to beat a dead horse, but this may be helpful to all. This is an article derived from a 1947 interview with Armstrong. Wilbur, commentators know the ages of Lucy and Martha but don’t feel the need to constantly quote the dates as you seem to. Repeatedly.

The man’s name is pronounced with the S silent. You say his first name like LOOEE. Not LOOIS. Thanks.
