A lot of people are claiming that Gohan and Piccolo did not deserve the transformations they got in the super hero movie. i completely do not agree. when it comes to piccolo, the power he recieved in the movie was a "Unlocked potential" from shenron, on top of shenron gifting piccolo some form of god ki. as shenron is a wishing dragon and all knowing. i do not see the problem with him giving piccolo the power up. On the side of Gohan. in a technical sense he has had divine ki before it was even a thing. He recieved special training from the Surpreme kai all the way back in z. which was from what the manga explains a training only Kai's undergo aka. gods of creation to the respective universe. that is what his mystic form is. and i could see the Beast transformation being the equivelent of blue. where gohan could usually only do one or the other. Beast is Mystic form with added ssj2. if people want to shit on that though. they better hate Blue as well because its literally just god ki with super saiyan added which is the same shit
Beast isn't the equivalent of blue. It's supposedly on the same level as ultra instinct and ego. A transformation like that coming out of nowhere when Gohan has done little to no training makes absolutely no sense and that's what people have a problem with.

Gohan was training leading up to the tournament in Super. He also vowed not to go back to his weaker state after frieza came back and gave them all hell. Also, what had been explained in DBZ and even from Goku himself; Gohan has always had a power hidden in him and has always been the strongest. He chose a different path than his father which led to this form.

Agreed, anyone can slap a song over a couple scenes and call it a day. The true test in editing skill comes in how you can showcase a character's legacy, not just a couple snapshots. What you have here is an homage, but with much better editing you can have a tribute.
I honestly think that gohan had the worst childhood becuase he firstly got kidnapped with raditz and then had to suffer from piccolos training while he was 4 or 5 and then he had to fight the saiyans which is nappa and vegeta so then he suffered more than picolos training and then he needed to go to namek which his neck got snapped in half and he was moments away from death before goku gave him the senzu bean after that he had to suffer again from the andriods and cell which was a little worse than namek. and this is way i think gohan had the worst childhood what do you think?
