I shit you not, I haven't dismantled my Sunset weapons for a long time... I needed material and dismantled a few because I was like "Yeah, these are ready to finally go..." 10min later I watch a video about them un sunsetting. Bruh
got back into destiny a week ago and 2 days ago went through my vault and done the exact same :/

Same lol, luckily bungie has said most if not all legacy weapons will have a new way to get them, still frustrating, but at least they won’t be unobtainable.
This is why I don't listen to datto. Have so many of my favorite old guns still. Pulperfect, og dfa, og trust, og blast furnace. So stoked they are coming back.

That's what I thought they originally did. I thought they went in and changed all the QD rolls to surplus. But it seems they removed it from the lootpool for aggressives

i dont get why more people don't use sunset weapons considering how the only pvp gamemode the light even matters in is trials (a gamemode a ton of people call trash).
The honest reason is that most things that were sunset have been severely power crept, both in pve and pvp.

Ive seen people complain about the sunrising because if they knew this was going to happen they would have never deleted their old weapons, but in pvp where it doesn’t matter they still choose not to use them and in pve, anything pre witchqueen has been powercrept up to high hell. What they say and what they do don’t match up.

People with no vault space are just hoarders bro. Guarantee most of them have shit exotic armour rolls in there, duplicate gun rolls, exotic guns for no reason, ships, sparrows, ghosts, etc. people don't know what they should and shouldn't keep most of the time 😂
@@HajileMalachyou don't know any true hoarders, I take it. Hi, it's me, I'm hoarder - I of course don't have any ghosts, ships, sparrows, or inventory items in my vault. The only armor in my vault is high rolled exotics. My vault is stuffed with weapons - the classic 'this perk combo isn't meta now but what if?' type rolls. It's served me very well for all the random buffs over the years (zen, headseeker, etc). That's what a true hoarder has.

A really cool old weapon to try would be Pillager, a 900 SMG with Zen and Kill Clip. 62 range, 42 stability, and 65 handling as well

I was never able to get Slideshot + QuickDraw, but I kept my threat detector + QuickDraw, so I’m pumped for the sunset sunsetting.
i got a combo of parcel of stardust and kindled orchid with rampage and killclip. they were my go to combos back in the day

I honestly did not think this would ever happen officially. And they're not even treating it like a big deal, they just casually mentioned it
The thing that scares me the most about this, since they are un sunsetting sunset weapons, Revoker is going to be everywhere in trials. If it works how it did way back when, I don’t think I will be playing anymore trials. That is unless they did make a change I am unaware of.

@@Lucas-m11 quickdraw only increases your ready speed not handling stat. Threat detector will increase actually handling stat and ready speed which will give a faster ads and stack ready speed on top of quickdraw im pretty sure

@@johnuzoka6229 yeh youre right but its minimal and probably not worth using both, 1x threat detector will lower ready by - 0.02s, ADS - 0.09s, Stow - 0.13s
X2 stacks lower Ready - 0.04s, ADS - 0.2s, Stow 0.24s.
Id rather have the range from slideshot, in my mind these numbers seem like a pretty minuscule increase but maybe i game it plays way different.

Tbh QD is kinda shit now when Threat Detector exists. QD just buffs the draw speed and that's it, and we all know how much Aggresive shotguns need the handling buffs. TD buffs your handling constantly as long as enemies are near, so you will technically have TD active the whole time.
I would expect Bungie to also remove QD on Mindbender's since they did it for Felwinter's and Astral
I'd love to see Kindle and maybe the nail auto rifle from black armory

It’s cool that I get to use my kindled orchid and my travelers judgement 5 again, but when they come out with newer versions these old ones definitely aren’t gonna matter anymore. But happy for all the people that hoarded stuff to mess around with in the meantime.
I want you to try out Mob Justice it's nothing special in terms of perks but it just feels so nice and the way it sounds is great it's something to use in control for messing around but yeah would love to see your thoughts on it
I'd love if it got updated with new perks i'd use it over any other SMG

They COULD change it. Look at OG Mountain Top and Breakneck right now, Mountain Top has Rampage because they made Micro Missile a frame and the took Rampage off of the Pinnacle Breakneck and gave it Subsistence. This means they could swap it for Surplus like the rest of the Aggressive Frame… I hope the don’t, but they could.
Edit: my OG Persuader is overjoyed about coming back to Trials.
they are gonna unsunset the weapons but the perks will be up to the current sandbox standards so quickdraw would be changed to surplus im pretty sure.

they are def gonna remove quickdraw from mindbenders but I really hope they don't cause the new mindbenders is so bad and I like my old one so much more

Try Garden progeny 1 from curse of Osiris, I still use it all the time.
I think a lot of shotguns feel good again after they fixed the pellets to make sure you get OHK's

I deleted my quickdraw snapshot mindbender last week and every other sunset weapon except one. I kept my kindled orchid with drop mag, kill clip, rampage, and a range masterwork. Barrel is corkscrew but it's near perfect.
Really glad they’re doing this but I wish we knew this before everyone deleted their rolls

The only sunset weapon i have is my service revo it hits 32 meters and can 3 tap it was the baby lunas. Still my main excitement of coming back is hush

In my supreme wisdom, I did not delete anything. My vault is full and I have a spare titan just for storage. Datto could never dream of this kind of storage space. You can fit so many guns in a titan.
I have a near god roll - Adept, corkscrew, accurized, threat detector, fragile focus, handling mw. Constantly whiffs on me, so I dunno.
I got my old QuickDraw/Threat detector roll that I’m excited to use again. Thing literally equips the frame I press the weapon swap
The only sunset weapon i kept was a quickdraw snap mindbenders. I see this as an absolute win.
i think new sudden death is currently best in slot shotgun solely for the origin trait, bonus damage on lower half of magazine and increased range on top half, its actually broken in pvp
As a hoarder with some crazy perk combos you cant get anymore im hyped it was only the other day i was doing some comp with old rolls its crazy how some guns dont fet zen moment now or headseeker killclip rampage together anymore and i can finally use my black armoury auto with rampage dragonfly again in pve that was one that made sunsetting really annoying

Matador 64 from ogre encounter in the grasp of avarice dungeon, realistically it’s the best shotgun in the game, you want threatdetector opening shot

My adept mindbenders has 61 handling plus snapshot & it gets more handling after a kill.

All of the sunset guns are powercrept hard in PvE, but there are a lot of weapons that will do work in PvP and maybe be BIS contenders. Interested to see what the plan is for those given how little of the playerbase still has them.
People who are upset they deleted weapons. Dont worry there are like 2 or 3 weapons that might MAYBE would even work with todays powercreep. I know nostalgia plays a part but believe me the majority of the weapons you miss for nostalgia sake would be trash now. Mindbenders is the only weapon that is super special since quickdraw. Kindled Orchid is a maybe With Kill Clip + Rampage.

We've come full circle, bungie is sunsetting sunsetting. If they bring back quickdraw to heavier hitting shotguns they need to put it BACK on Felwinter's Lie.

I’ve deleted every one of my sundered weapons …except 21% delirium …I refused to delete it …so happy about that one crazy good gun…I’m sure it won’t be as good as others now…but it’s still my fav ever ..
Well, you can reacquire 21% at any time as it was a pinnacle, so it wouldn't have been a big deal if you had deleted it.
I still got my misfit, bygones, duke, ringing nail, go figure, claws of the wolf, kindled, last hope, and right side of wrong. Those are all I have left from the foresaken dlc.
