British and American chocolates have distinct differences in terms of taste, texture, and ingredients: **Ingredients**: - **British Chocolate**: Often uses more cocoa solids and less sugar. British chocolate tends to have a richer, more complex flavor due to higher cocoa content and the use of full cream milk. Brands like Cadbury and Lindt (UK) emphasize creamy, smooth textures with less sweetness. - **American Chocolate**: Commonly contains more sugar and sometimes uses different milk fats or vegetable oils in place of cream. This can result in a sweeter, lighter taste. Brands like Hershey's are known for their distinctive, less creamy flavor. **Flavor and Sweetness**: - **British Chocolate**: Generally less sweet and has a more nuanced cocoa flavor. The British palate often prefers the depth of cocoa taste. - **American Chocolate**: Tends to be sweeter and has a milder cocoa flavor, which reflects the American preference for sweeter treats. **Texture**: - **British Chocolate**: Usually has a smoother, creamier texture due to higher milk content and a different conching process (the method of refining the chocolate). Americans dont normally like our chocolate orange because it actually uses orange oils which is quite concentrated and can lead to a much stronger taste. Kit kats, snickers which used to be called Marathon in my youth. Lindor is Swiss chocolate. Kinder is European and you did not get the kinder eggs imported for years because of the little toy inside. We do import m and m''s, reeses pieces and buttercups, milky way was an actual UK one too. You missed the cadburys dairy milk. Flake is crumbly as it is fine layers of chocolate on top of eachover. We do have milky ways as well we do not have caramel in ours. Crunchie had the slogan get that Friday feeling. And it seemed to work in your family. You did not match CADBURYS whole nut against the good bar.
Lindt is not American. It's also much cheaper in the UK. Twix was created in Britain. I like Ghirardelli, but it's just OK by UK standards; let alone Belgian standards which are much higher.
Shame you didn't get a Mars bar from the British shop. What we call a Mars bar, you call a Milky Way. We also have a Milky Way bar, it is like your 3 Musketeers bar.
Star bar would I think be similar to your butter finger if you can get it try it it's one of my favourite as i prefer chocolate with a filling not just straight chocolate
Does the US get Minstrels by Galaxy? Bit like larger Chocolate M&Ms Would also say European Chocolate is equally nice, different to UK, Swiss also, Lindt are fab, anything Belgium they make some amazing Chocolates artisan, different flavours, almost like tiny chocolate puddings/deserts .. UK has Milkyway by Cadburys but its not caramel inside its a fluffy err 😂 not sure how to describe .. nice though. Didn’t see Yorkie by Galaxy? Love all your Energy though 🫡
Tell Terry's to stop was enough to make question everything I've just watched. I don't like orange chocolate but Terry's chocolate orange is lovely, definitely not my favourite but to say stop making them is weird! And also the combination we have are much wider than what you had
American milky way is an english mars bar, american mars is a topic i think and i think three musketeers is an english milky way took me 7 yrs in the nineties of living there to figure out my favourite topic was my least fave english mars was thrilled when i was given a mars bar and was like this aint no mars bar its a topic
Interesting.comparisons Im not really qualified to make knowing only the uk products. Hersheys reputation travels well before it and every British opinion repeats how bad it is though I’ve never tried it. These are all the poor end uk products to be honest. The better chocolates come from Europe. Galaxy is superior to cadburys but Lindt is better quality than galaxy, but try the higher quality high percentage cocoa products (they were up on the top left shelf) for the better stuff. You never want to go back after trying those. Its all personal choice of course and 8 also believe palates change with age. I remember seeing the Ghiradelli factory near the waterfront in San Fransisco year ago. Nice vid folks 👍🏻
From an American to the rest of the world, we know you dont have to rub it in, i prefer Lindor also it is amazing much better than hershey products but the dried milk once it is melted in a S'more does something to soul, it is soooo good but soooooo bad any other time
We have some of the m&ms mainly yellow and brown packs. I do love Reeses but, it's too expensive. We have Lindor and Ferrero Rocher, your prices are dreadful. Cadburys cannot be beaten. You should have had a Cadbury DairyMilk bar. Our Mars Bar is your Milky Way. Chocolate Orange uses orange oil. Loads of Americans love Terry's Chocolate Orange.

The reason some of the chocolate is discoloured is, at some stage it's been subject to excess heat, and has started to sweat the milk out.
It's sugar, not milk, it's caused by condensation evaporating and leaving sugar crystals behind

Your Milky Way is the same as our Mars bar. Were as our Milky Way is very soft nougat.
Flake is good crumbled on ice cream.
Our chocolate is as bad as yours now since America took over the company's
My kids start back the first week September.
You will love them.
It is impossible to melt a Flake. It just burns
Can't believe you didn't have The UKs No1 chocolate ie Cadburys strange
I like European chocolate better than US chocolate, the Swiss make the best chocolate
Star bar would I think be similar to your butter finger if you can get it try it it's one of my favourite as i prefer chocolate with a filling not just straight chocolate
Does the US get Minstrels by Galaxy?
Bit like larger Chocolate M&Ms
Would also say European Chocolate is equally nice, different to UK, Swiss also, Lindt are fab, anything Belgium they make some amazing Chocolates artisan, different flavours, almost like tiny chocolate puddings/deserts ..
I also need to find that new M&M flavor i love the preztel ones so i probably would love the cookie one
Tried Hersheys once and never again. The Orange oil is real , so what have you been eating all this time.
American milky way is an english mars bar, american mars is a topic i think and i think three musketeers is an english milky way took me 7 yrs in the nineties of living there to figure out my favourite topic was my least fave english mars was thrilled when i was given a mars bar and was like this aint no mars bar its a topic
You seemed to also have chocolate on the other side of the aisle
I have tried hersheys ut is ducking shit,i wouldnt give it to a dog
The heath bar looks like a daim bar
From an American to the rest of the world, we know you dont have to rub it in, i prefer Lindor also it is amazing much better than hershey products but the dried milk once it is melted in a S'more does something to soul, it is soooo good but soooooo bad any other time
THOSE PRICES ARE A RIP OFF
We have some of the m&ms mainly yellow and brown packs.
