I know I’m late but brez didn’t actually have a “sequencer” because his machine isn’t as good, so he replicated what rythmind’s machine can do with a worse machine. I’m not a looper but that is really difficult to achieve those arpeggios without the sequencer. Also a tie breaker has happened but it’s no longer allowed in gbb, still happens in some other competitions tho.

So to clarify the mk1 mk2 thing: in 2021 the mk2 loopstation was released and it was exclusive to participants and judges of kickback battle loopstation. So people like Rhythmind or frosty have it and we’re allowed to use it in the gbb
in the loopstation there are no extra rounds and it immediately decides who goes to the next round. but at GBB 2019 there is an additional round in the tag team category between Kotcha vs Uniteam

I feel like most people first reaction to this battle goes to rythnind but it doesn’t take long for them to change their mind
100%. Its hard to tell who is better unless you listen to something like 10 times. Most people are influenced by the last thing they hear; whether its music or philosophy. Thats why when you win the coin toss they almost always choose to go second, so that you are the last thing you hear.

All the Kbb (kickback battle) battles (a competition swissbrstbox held just before the gbb, where a new loopstation prototype got used, which most loopers use now the mk2 which brez also comments on in this video rythmind had it because he judged the kickback battles, and all competitors also got it, it wasnt released to the public until after gbb, but the people that had it were allowed to use it, so it was totally fine eventhough it was able to do a lot more)

brez uses MK1 which is the first edition of the machine while rythmind uses MK 2 which is a new edition that is better and has more sound effects. Why can brez say that because MK 2 hasn't been released yet and why can Rythmind get it because he's the brand ambassador for MK 2 and besides that he also got it from the Kickback Battle Beatbox event before the GBB 2021 event. But the GBB rules don't prohibit using any edition of the loopstation. what is forbidden in loopstation is no. allow the use of additional devices as much as 2 or more
