    I’ve been to the most in the states worth homesteading. You nailed it. The southeast is humid and take some getting used to. Rain and warmer climate is key. Blessings to all!

    North inland Florida is cheaper then a lot of Tennessee. KY is cheaper then both though. There just isn't as much infrastructure or jobs in KY.

    Despite the geographical location and price, what legal and cultural considerations do we need to pay attention to?

      Well, you definitely have to decide if you want a southern culture or more of a Midwestern or Appalachian culture. All of them very. Midwest culture is much more like the West Coast than the south.
      People in the south are very friendly

    there are other things that should be considered. Like home schooling.

    Why'd you eliminate ND, SD, NE, and CO without any mention?

    • @FarmerMark1
      @FarmerMark1  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      They were on my list that I had written down, but I just forgot to mention them 🤦‍♂️
      The reason I eliminated them was because none of them get a lot of rain and most of them are quite cold

      @@FarmerMark1 I certainly wouldn't want to be relying on rainwater if I was homesteading. The Ogallala aquifer sits right under that region, the water table is quite high so wells are very easy to dig for unlimited water that won't freeze in the winter because it's below the frost line. With some of the most fertile soil in the country, growing enough food and then canning/jarring it for winter is no issue and you'll get meat from the livestock. In summers, there are far less poisonous critters, mosquitos, and parasites. That whole region was once comprised of nothing but homesteads, it's one of the easiest areas to homestead, especially Nebraska/Kansas. Not trying to hate but I think you put far too much emphasis on just cold winters and rainfall, they really aren't big issues especially if you have a well... and every family had a well even in the 1800s, hand dug and built. The biggest issue would actually be firewood. There were so few trees when the pioneers arrived that they had to burn cow dung to heat their homes. You would need to find alternative sources of "fuel"

      @NoCopyrightMusicsss I agree while still possible to homestead in those states I think that the other states that I mentioned at the end of the video were more favorable.

    Southern Ohio is easy to live like your grandparents. Don't go to flat expensive Northern Ohio.

      Marry someone in the US and move here. If you are a male, women here love every singe accent from the UK so it wouldn't be hard. lol

    You come from the Northwest... low humidity/mild heat. Headed to the Southeast... High💦Humidity/Very 🔥High 🔥Heat!!! 🥵 Good Luck with your Land Purchase and future endeavors. I like your game plan and approach... and America Needs Farmers. Great video and nice Job with the Graphics. 🫡
