it looks like a very nice canal that would not take much to restore and would enhance the museum and railway nicely and be educational for children, is there any other navigation it could meet up with.
Thank you very much. The 1880s Elsecar video is very interesting. Sorry I forgot to say that I walked Elsecar on Friday, the Dearne and Dove a few weeks ago, so two separate walks.
@@towpathtreks yes I watched that one. I think I worded my question wrongly, what I was trying to to ask is was the Elsecar closed at the same time as the Derne and Dove canal? Sorry about that Sir
Thank you So much for another enlightening video on another sadly abandoned Canal. Was it done at the same time as the Derne and Dove? Can you post a link to the people responsible for the railway so we can ask for them to include this canal at sometime please Sir? I was looking to give you another “Thank” you but you haven’t enabled it on this one unfortunately.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I've attached a couple of links in the description to the heritage centre website and to another great video that digitally recreates how Elsecar and the canal looked in the 1880s. I think the superchat / superstickers are working ok for 'Thank Yous' but I'm not brilliant with IT.
Elcecar, where I did my track maintenance course many, many years ago… good video as usual.
Thank you. Hope you are enjoying your canal travels. September is a wonderful month for it.
Lol I had the same problem the other week. They where in the same place. Loved the info on the history.
Thanks very much. It's a lovely little walk, interesting all the way.
Excellent video Mike, hope you're well.
Cheers Frank I'm good how are you doing?

Yes I think its restoration would add something to the area. It connects to the Dearne and Dove canal but that is in need of restoration too.
Thanks

@@andrewthomas3270The Elsecar closed first in 1928 and the Dearne and Dove in 1961. Interestingly the Elsecar is in better condition today.
