I had a black Labrador from a point kennel. He brought every dove, pheasant and chucker that any family member, friends or myself shot right back to my feet. He always pointed on the birds we hunted and would wait for us to get situated and waited for me to say OK so he would flush out the bird, or I would tell him that I was going to flush it out. He also was great at pointing out quail or a covey of quail. If there were 4 or more He could round them up together and keep them that way while on point. One of the best dog, family member and friend you could have ever owned and hunted with. If he saw you loading a gun in the truck, it was game on. He would always work the fields from down wind left to right going upwind. He was so friendly and very very smart and helpful. The kennel was located in southern Indiana and was sold to their friends in Iowa. I tracked them down and talked to them about getting another one just like him. Same bloodline. Max was a dog that acted like a human. I hope I get reunited with him when I leave this world. May he rest in peace always and ever. A good bird dog would be great for you all. PS: He would also retrieve ducks all day for you. I really enjoyed your great video and it was a pleasure to see you with your son and teaching him about the outdoors. From my reloading experience the height of the brass is no indicator or how much power is in the shell. That's just something they use to do with paper shells and they continue to do it today. the same amount of powder can be put in low brass as high brass. The real difference between the hunting loads and targets loads is the type of wads and amount of shot used.
Can't wait for Monday but here in Virginia we have to wait until 12 to shoot got the Stoeger m3000 ready. Are you going to be filming your Dove hunts I love to see that

I would suggest you add Hearing protection, at least ear plugs. I am very hard of hearing due to not using them.

What choke do you like to use dove hunting?
I just use my Carlson's mid range waterfowl choke. It's basically an extended modified choke
