- Ok, a bit of a work around but this came up as an issue in the office. How to create a double lookup for visibility states in a dynamic block. This shows how I created a double lookup for some standard window types that we use on a daily basis. Hope you enjoy and please let me know your comments. Cheers, Garry
Update: (10:14) There is a glitch we have found where the double lookup parameter set doesn't appear. You need to change the variable BACTIONBARMODE to 0. You can only do this whilst editing the block. Hope that helps.
Perfectly explained. Clear and easy to understand. Thanks!
This is one of the most practical demo on usage of Dyanmic blocks and can be used in the construction drafting to get optimum productivity
I second you. Thank you very much, Garry
thankyou so much man.
so appreciated your work, this is great and help me so much to make everything easier in the future.
wish u and your family a very happy life. cheers!
Great job! Perfect explaination Boyce!
Hi Russell, glad you liked it!
NICELY EXPLAINED.
Hi Garry . . @10:52 you're getting 2 dynamic look ups but I'm only getting one. I have created the new parameter set and added the second look up but just one appears. Any ideas?
Hi Russell, please check the update notes, you need to change the BARACTIONMODE to 0
Sorry, BACTIONBARMODE=0
What would it be like if each type had a different number of variations?
when I try this method my input always reverts to a measurement value i.e. 1 and 2 become 1" and 2" and I can't get it to change.. see 4:57
When I do this I get a custom option below the options and the look ups don't work until I select something in both categories to get it off custom. How do I get rid of the custom option?
Would this work if I needed a stretch action parameter associated with the geometry in each visibility state?
It worked for me. I didn't need a second lookup set as the stretch parameter had its values.
Something these videos never explain is how to make the actions (lightning bolt icon) visible. They just conveniently and annoyingly skip right over that.
did you ever find out how to turn the lightning bolt icon on??? I am having the same issue.

Command: BACTIONBARMODE
Enter new value for BACTIONBARMODE : 0

When I drop this in I don't get the two lookups
Can i make 3 (and more) lookups?
Not tried, but possible. It accepts the 3rd action. Let me know how you get on.
