They named the band just a couple seconds before the video starts (a longer version of the concert exists, not online). Had to come back and watch this one again after hearing of the passing of bassist Scott King. Although he doesn’t get much FaceTime in this video, which is typical of for most bass players, he throws down on this song and keeps it tight.
Rest in pease Scott. Prayers for you and your family, as well as all the members of the group as they mourn your passing, and reflect on all the great music to which you contributed.

Maggie couldn't match Judith, but Maggie doesn't need to match anyone .I think she'd do it best, but Chase is very good at mimicking other singers voices. We've just begun to hear the range of her capabilities. Like anything else F&F does it would honor the original and be a little different at the same time. With their female harmonies, I think they could be an excellent fresh take on Seekers songs. True. The first song of the first set of the first time the group ever got onstage. Tim (in center, speaking) had a semi-pro band for many years, but only a few weeks before this, got together with his youngest daughter Sammie (checkered dress) and Maggie whom they knew from their church, and put together an experiment featuring the girls that they thought would be a one-time-only event. This was the result. They recorded it for posterity, then found out the mics and instruments could be synced to the video for a professional sound. Twelve of the 20 songs they did that night are here on this channel. But this was what they did for the first number.

As a professional musician for 50 years AND super fan of CS&N since the very beginning, I was so thrilled to encounter this video. Wow - such precision and subtleties and downright fantastic performance. Great songs are always with us, especially when such talent brings them to life again.

Honoured to be the 100th person to thumbs up this comment. I feel sorry for all the clueless sheeple who unwittingly believe that (C)Rap etc can be even remotely associated with MUSIC.

This is the best this song has been sung since it was created. Many groups have tried and failed. You folks accomplished something special. Harmonies are heavenly! Don't EVER stop singing.

I return to watch and listen to this every month or so. On headphones you properly hear that sublime bass line providing the honeycomb for the structure, while the band leader holds the melody line and performs filler and counter strums on off-beats, and the girls flawless with their tight soaring harmonies adding bright dimension overall. An astonishing performance of inspired quality born of application, endless rehearsal and granite talent.

First song, first public performance. Tim worked with the girls quite a bit for the 20 song show, Darwin ( left) came over 4 times and Scott (right) rehearsed with them once. Professional musicians and 2 exceptionally talented girls (and quick learners) age 15 and 16 at the time. A fun one-off winter project that turned into a 'youtube band' with 87,000,000 views

@@lynwessel2471 Thank you for the background to this amazing performance. Frankly I'm blown away that they opened the set with this song, and not some easier ones to warm up with, and I love that they had the foresight to ensure the sound was recorded properly, plus multiple cameras to capture it, instead of the usual shakey camcorder with poor sound. As you say, it was a fun, one-off show, but clearly somebody decided they wanted a decent record for posterity and memories. The talent and experience of each person onstage is readily apparent, especially the bass player (one rehearsal? wow!) who helped keep a challenging song on track. Apart from one vocal timing hiccup by the guitarist (understandable, as he was also replicating all those complicated acoustic riffs by Stephen Stills) who rallied brilliantly a second later, this was truly epic. Thanks again for your informative post, Lyn. You're the cat's meow 😀

@@skylinerunner1695 Tim wanted it recorded for a keepsake,he always recorded quality audio of his bands so he could listen for anything they could do better. He posted these videos on YT so his brother in California could watch them. For years hardly anyone else watched them except Suite kept steadily gaining views. 8 1/2 years later it reached 1 million and YT started to recommend the channel more and more...
