I first started watching you a long time ago when I was in sixth grade at the age of 11, now I’m starting my freshman year of college. Thank you for everything, Trent.
same. i used to love watching these obscure brass instruments and needing out. Thank you, Trent!
same! i started watching in 7th grade and i'm starting music school in a few days.
same here tbh... freshman year... what an inspiration
I'm 19 and dude I started watching him at the exact same time and honestly it's so sad to see him go
Wtf bro you just stated my life up until now😂
Seriously tho, Him, Chris Bill, and a few others have helped me become who I am today. Starting the 28th going into music school I will pursue teaching music towards others. This comment just blew my mind btw..
I’ve been a long time fan of this channel even before I made content on my own! Thank you so much for the incredible resources you provided for the brass community and congratulations on your newborn! If you ever return, I would love to see more arrangements for the wide variety of instruments you own (loved your soprano trombone contrabass trombone duet haha). Sad to see you go, but wishing you all the best on your next chapter!
Hey I know this is off topic but im a tromboneist I love your stuff btw do you have any tips to making content on youtube with trombone?
ive been a longtime fan of trent hamilton and i was watching Trent when you started your youtube channel and ive been a longtime fan of both trombonetimo and Trent Hamilton. But anyways congratulations on your child, i'm honestly really sad that your leaving. but i have an idea, what if you were to like post once or twice maybe every year or half a year to keep us updated on how you're doing and maybe post a video every once if you get any cool instruments or anything.
There's 106,000 people rooting for you and your family, and we wish you all the luck in the world!
Believe me, there's a lot more than that.
*107,000 lol
My eyes tell me that you have lost some weight over time. That is most important for you as an individual AND for your wife and children that they will have you around for much longer than before. Keep it up! For more than a dozen years, my wife-at her behest-and I have daily been taking 5,000IU of vitamin D3 plus 0.5mg of iodine through kelp flakes on our meals. We`ve barely been sick during that time, even during the last 3 years we came down with nothing-amazing! Best wishes.
It's been a pleasure and privilege to follow you & enjoy your take on the world of music. I wish you and your family the very best for the future.
Thank you so much :)
Love you man. Goodbye.@@TrentHamilton

As an 82 year old trombone player, you have been an inspiration to me to keep on playing even though my eyesight isn't what it used to be. I will miss seeing you and I wish the best for you and your family.
wowza, 70 years of trombone? man i bet your lungs are made of titanium

As a brass player and music teacher for nearly 70 years, I would like to thank you for your dedication to brass instruments and music all these years. The immense variety of instrumental/musical topics always peaked my interest and I never failed to learn something! The best to you and your family and look forward to their introduction with a brass instrument in their hands!
Thank you for dedicating your life to spreading the knowledge and beauty of music. Not many can say they've done as much as you.
Enjoy your children Trent. I am a father, composer, and trombonist in Idaho (USA). There's so much good knowledge on your channel, thank you for the years that you have put into it.
Hey, nice seeing another Idahoan trombonist.
@@LilSlimJim1how long have you played for?
as a 16 year old trombonist
HI HI HAI HI HAI HELLO 😄
@@benblessing I'm 15 and I've been playing for around 4 nearly 5 years.
@@ferret9263 Hello!
Your videos never fail to put a smile on my face! We'll miss you, Trent!
6-7 years ago, I picked up the trumpet, and you're the only channel that attracted me to it. The wealth of knowledge, as well as the geeky brass stuff. It's been great, and I hope to see you return.
I'm a high school student in Japan, and when I first became interested in brass band music in high school, I came across your channel. Thank you for what you have done.
I started watching your videos years and years ago when I first started getting into brass instruments. I have since stopped playing, but have still enjoyed catching the occasional video of yours. I love the weird and wacky instruments and I think you've helped many others fall in love with them as well.
Even though I'm decades removed from my trumpet playing, I always found your channel educational and enjoyed your attitude and humor. Wishing you all the best!
Will miss your fascinating finds. Good luck in all you do!
Yes, it's sad that you are going, but your videos will stay *hopefully* and many people will still learn from you that way.
You are awesome and I wish you and all around you, the best in the future!
I am a trumpet player currently in my junior year of high school, and I want to thank you for what you have done for me as a musician. You have been an inspiration to myself and I am sure many others as well. You have inspired me to push my self a little farther than I thought possible. Thank you, for all you have done, and I wish you the best of luck, where ever life may take you.
I stumbled across your channel a few years ago, after I started playing trombone. The high-quality and humorous content has meant a lot to me and you have helped me figure out what I want to do in life. I am currently a sophomore in high school and I play bass trombone. I plan to continue on with the trombone and pick up other instruments and teach others around them, as you have done with these videos. Thanks again for all that you have done for me and many others.
A legend says goodbye today but we will for sure meet again lots of love and support, you have reached all of our hearts and will never stop missing you, I will for sure miss you love form Spain
I recall watching one of your videos back in my band days of sixth grade. I enjoyed it, and found it helpful, so I subscribed. Admittedly, I haven't kept up with your channel much at all, but I will miss your presence. Congratulations with your 100k subscribers, and I wish you the best in life.
Over the years you have taught me more about brass instruments than any instructor I have ever had. Thank you for that.
I started watching you as a freshman in high school playing the euphonium and now I'm 23. Thank you for everything, Trent! Your videos have been so interesting and have shaped my life for the better I'd like to think :)
Trent, You've become quite an honourable figure in my brass life. I've always loved your videos, I've been a viewer for nearly 5 years now, and I'm glad your channel has grown to the size it is. I look forward to seeing the future of your endeavours on your instagram. Cheers ❤
I started watching you since 2015 when I started 8th grade band. I was lucky to get the answers from you whenever questions I ask about music. I appreciate all what you've done for this community and the help that I needed back in the old days. It's been an honor, Trent. Thank you for all the hard work you put through in music!
@@mihailmilev9909 That was 8 years ago, so I graduated in 2020 - now I am in third year college in IT. I'm still into music and compose music from time to time.
I hope you'll keep your content online. It'll remain relevant forever. Appreciate all your hard work & entertaining explanations. Enjoy time with family. "So long, & thanks for all the fish."
From the other side of the planet (Austria, no kangaroos), thank you so much for a rich legacy of insight, humour and joy. You have given my students their first taste of the melodious sounds of the NZ accent, warned my young daughter of the perils of working with hot glue (as well as how to swear correctly) and spead joy throughout the known universe. Actually, your "cheapest cornet" unpacking and testing video should be considered by medical boards as treatment for the onset of depression - it works for me. Bless you and your family ... and I think many will keep that "subscribe" button on, just in case :-)
Thank you very much Trent, I have been with you since the start and now here we are. It is because of you I learn't euphonium and joined various brass bands so thank you sincerely.
Hey Trent. I’ve been watching since 2016 and I mean this in the nicest possible way, your less than half the man you were then. You sparked my interest in all the weird and wonderful brass instruments that being an EEb tuba player I had never experienced. You are an absolute legend mate and I’m sure I can speak for everyone when I wish the very best for you, your wife and children. Sad to see you go. Have a good one mate
I remember finding your channel over 7 years ago when I was playing trumpet in high school marching band. While I haven't been the most avid watcher of all your videos recently, they did always put a smile on my face. Thanks for everything!
I started watching you when I couldn't even play a g on the staff, now I'm starting College this fall majoring in music (specifically trumpet). You have influenced my life in more ways than you can imagine, helping me understand the brass world, the history and passion of instrument makers, and providing a bit of humor through some hard times. Thank you for all you have done for everyone and thank you for helping me grow personally. Good luck with your next adventure in life Mr Hamilton, and I wish you the best
Thank you for all the things you’ve taught me about the brass world. I wish you all the best!
I discovered your channel back as a pre-teen, before ever having touched a brass instrument. The insightful and interesting commentary piqued my interest, and the very dry humor out of nowhere kept me engaged for years to come. Years later, I’m going to college with one of my two instruments being trumpet, and truly the present that I’m currently living has greatly been shaped by your passion for brass instruments. A huge thank you for the great videos through the years, it truly has changed the trajectory of my life in a great way. Thank you Trent!
A big Thank You Trent for your enthusiastic reviews, education on various brass instruments. For sharing the different perspectives of music, brassbands and so on. Wish you all the best from Sweden 🎺🎶
Awwww….we’re all going to miss you Trent! Finding your videos years ago helped inspire me to start playing again after a 30+ year hiatus. I’d forgotten how much fun it was! Thank you for your information and humor! 🎼🎺
You have been so incredibly inspirational on my musical journey. I wish you all the best and I hope that life treats you and your family beautifully. I’ll never forget our Skype call and all the advice you were able to offer me. I’ll still be here to tune in and support you! Thank you Trent!
Thanks to you, my knowledge of instruments have increased a lot, I remember finding out a lot about the trombone when I 1st started, now I’m a sophomore and play bass trombone, and you have some tips that till this day still help. May you do well, Trent
Thank you so much for the gift you've given us, Trent. I appreciate this "place" so much & look forward to exploring archived videos for a very long time to come. You've really helped to reinvigorate my lifelong love for brass instruments. Enjoy your family & all the best life has to offer. Take care!
I recently found your channel and it’s sad to see you go
i started watching during pandemic and you were one of the influences that eventually lead me to creating my own channels. thank you so much
All the very best for the future, Trent. The only constant is change :-) Your channel was fascinating and educational. And the organ stuff! We all learnt so much from you. Thanks and cheers!
Thank you, Trent. Your preludes on brass instruments in the key of IF will be dearly missed. We will all miss you dearly, and again a huge thank you to you!
I'm not a brass disciple but I wound up enjoying your videos thanks to spending lockdown watching Sarah Jeffery / Team Recorder. Thank you Trent, for your down to earth and informative videos on the wonderful world of brass. It's been a good buzz :-)
Will definitely miss your videos Trent!
Trent, your channel will remain an invaluable resource even as an archive. I appreciate all you've done in pursuit of the Truth that brass instruments are the best instruments. 🎺😎
I'm going into my second year of my tuba degree and I started watching this channel when I was in middle school. Thanks for all the informative and entertaining content throughout the years!
trent, you helped me sculpt my fascination with music during my high school years and i will forever be grateful for your content and for helping me fall in love with playing the trombone. much love ❤️
Thank you for your contributions to this community. I've developed my own passion and interest in brass instruments because of your videos, and I am thankful for it.
you fueled my passion for music in middle school, im going into college now, thank you trent :)
Congratulations on making a decision to honor your priorities and values! Thanks for all the great information you’ve launched into the Brass enthusiast YouTubiverse!
:D Trent it's been great watching your videos! Thank you so much for all you've done for the brass community. Best of luck for you and your family!
thank you for uploading all that you have, absolutely no hard feelings for honoring your other life commitments :) we'll be here if you feel like posting at your leisure!
All the best Trent . You will be greatly missed . Thankyou for the great content you have presented , all in great style , but also with sincerity . There is not , I am sure , another channel on music quite like yours .
Thanks for all your great videos Trent, they've been great for me as a "mature" learner trombonist. Best of luck 👍
Greetings from a French trombonist. Thank you for your amazing channel. It's been so interesting watching your videos
Trent, I remembering finding your videos probably around the summer before the start of 5th grade, just about to turn 11 years old, watching as many trombone related videos I could find before I would eventually start to learn the trombone the following school year.
Now here I am just shy of 7 years later, just recently turned 18, and about to enter my senior year of high school, prepping audition and solo material for college auditions in the next 5-6 months. I can no doubt count you as a factor in why I'm still playing trombone to this day. Thank you Trent, thank you for everything.
Best of luck on what ever you do next.
Thank you for the videos Trent, you never failed to be educational, inspiring and comedic symtaniously!
Trent you've been an inspiration to me and my students. You videos have given me a laugh and reinvigorated my passion for learning and continuing to be a better player. Thank you so much for everything you have done. Family always comes first.
Trent, thank you for all the wonderful content from all of us. I have been watching since the age of seven and your videos have greatly impacted how my life has gone- I have a goal now to major in music education for college, and I am currently learning the horn for the past 3 years. One of the earliest memories that I can remember are of watching your videos, the trombone section one in particular. I've met many people I wouldn't have otherwise known and have had wonderful music opportunities since.
Even though you won't be present on the app anymore, you'll still be present in our minds and hearts.
Good luck and Farewell, Trent Hamilton!
I wish you nothing but the best, I was in early high school when I first began watching your content I believe, and now I'm starting my final year in college. You helped to further my love of brass instruments, and have created a desire in me to start a brass band here in the US (still a work in progress). So thank you very much for the content and inspiration you've given me, and all of us!
You set out to share your passion for brass instruments and you've done that admirably. Along the way, you've also educated, informed, entertained and represented the good people of New Zealand so positively that you should be considered a de facto ambassador. You have led your viewers on a fascinating journey that has come to an end. I wish you and your family all the best as you begin a new journey beyond the Wall of Many Things.
I believe it was a great endeavor and journey for you Trent. Thank you for your contribution and best wishes on your next path 💐
Wow, from sixth grade to a junior in college. I really can't understand what an incredible journey this has been, 8 years for me, and I enjoyed every second. May you continue to have a fruitful life, however it manifests itself.
I've been here for several years, started watching you in middle school and now I'm a sophomore in college studying bass trombone. You were one of the many influences in my life to make me gravitate towards music, and I am thankful for that. Thank you for sharing for all these years and best of luck with your family and life :)
Well damn Trent, it's been an absolute pleasure watching you explore the brass world and see all the things it has to offer. This channel has made me laugh, smile, and stare horrified at my computer screen as I gaze upon an abomination of a brass instrument the you managed to find. It's been a ride and I can't imagine it any other way. If I don't see you again, good morning, good evening, and good night
Your instrument collection is like no other and it's awesome
Starting freshman year of high school as a hornist coming from trumpet, you were an inspiration, thank you for everything Trent. You helped me well for my middle school years.
Thank you for all of the amazing work you've done over the years. As a young musician in the 7th grade, your content opened up a whole new world to me. Now as I'm going into college to work in Music Ed. I feel that I may not have been the same musician I am today without your videos. Farewell for now, and best wishes.
Thank you Trent, for giving us all inspiration and guidance throughout these many years. We as a community are all truly blessed to have had someone of your nature in our lives, even if it may have been through a screen. We all wish you the best, and hope that you do well with what's to come in your life.
I do not actively play a brass instrument anymore. But I still enjoy what that instrument can do and the person playing it and people like you Trent that have kept the art of playing alive. Best Wishes to You Sir.
It's been such a huge pleasure to follow you for all these years. I've been following you since way back in 2014 & I've seen your instrument collection grow tremendously, while learning more about brass instruments than I ever thought possible!
I'm not the person I was when I first started following you either, time seems to have been following us all! I was a high school trombone player in those days, and now I find myself almost a decade later doing park land management; what a world! In a way, I sort of grew up with this channel!
I've greatly appreciated your videos and I hope you find success in everything you choose to pursue next!
Trent, you are one of the biggest reasons I thrive to learn more about music and the history of musical instruments. I’ve watched you from the beginning, and loved every minute of it. Thank you for all the hard work you’ve put in for people like me.
I'm about to enter my first year of teaching band, and as an obscure instrument geek, I've thoroughly enjoyed your videos for many years. Thank you!
We’ll miss you, Trent. I’ve always enjoyed seeing the strange and unique instruments you’ve showcased over the years.
Live long and prosper!
I'm not a brass player (I play drums) but it's been a joy to watch your channel grow over the past years. Best of luck to you and your family in the future! Once your kids can play a horn, you better post a video :P
Will miss you Mr hamilton! Thank you for leaving a wealth of knowledge for the world to share!
I hadn’t run across your channel until relatively recently, but it’s been a unique treat during.
Have no fear, so many of us have slow-updating channels on the sidebar, and we’ll still welcome anything new.
Welcome the changed life focus, and use the channel for as much fun and interesting and educational as you’d like.
glad he still said "hello and welcome" at the start.
Your channel has always been a comforting place, Trent. I remember finding your videos online when I was 12 or 13 and feeling like I found my people. I'm getting my Doctorate now in composition and I couldn't be more grateful for everything you've given the community. With your name and flowing, I could imagine your channel being a transformative space in new music for brass. "Trent Hamilton" could be the new big distributor for brass music! Just some food for thought :) Best of luck with the kiddos
When I first found you, you were posting videos of the trombone family and I was in high school. Your brief video demonstrating each member was something I remembered my first year of college, and I searched it up and used it in a class presentation. Now, I’m a degree-holding, certified music teacher. Thanks for being here and being part of what not only motivated me to be an instrumental music major but also helped me get my degree. Now, I teach choir… looks like we both found different paths than we were on a few years ago! :)
While I haven't been here as long as many...I still must say thank you for being a wonderful gateway into the world of music. A passion such as this never leaves you, so I hope you are blessed with the gift and love of music forevermore. Cheers!
I always enjoyed your videos covering obscure brass instruments, even if I wasn't a regular viewer. I must say, it's been a joy to watch you grow and change -- and always for the better. I'm glad you're not leaving TH-cam completely, but I'm really happy you're taking more time for yourself. Hell, I'm just really happy for you, man! Keep your slide lubed!
Dear Trent, I've watched your videos for many years and I just want to say THANK YOU!
You’ve helped me learn so much about instruments and music. I’m a trombone player teaching myself trumpet. I’ve been watching you for years and I’m happy to say that I’m still learning from you and channels similar to yours. This man has kept my passion alive simply by being someone I can search for when I need a little bit of inspiration. Thank you, Mr. Hamilton!
Trent - as so many others have already said, it has been a pleasure watching and supporting your channel. Informative, passionate, humorous, but never boring, you brought some of the best 'real' content to what can be a cesspit of narcissistic pursuits. So, thank you for being real and for sharing your passion for brass with us.
In Virginia, USA and have been playing trumpet since March of 1960 so I really have enjoyed seeing your variety of horns and hearing you demonstrate their qualities (or lack thereof); enjoy being a good father as that is the most important gift for you to give. Thanks again.
Thanks for all you’ve done. I learnt, I smiled, I avoided terrible smelly instruments. All good things.
You have provided a wonderful Chanel of honest, and fun content for the years. Your material has been genuine, and honestly portrayed without unnecessary gimmicks, or fluff. Thank you! All of the best to you and your family as you move forward.
godspeed trent you've been such a source of inspiration for countless musicians. I hope you have all the pride in what you've accomplished.
Been watching u for years and inspired me to learn tenor trombone and I'm glad I did it's been a blast so far thank you so much for the years of content and memories Trent you really are an inspiration. ✌🏾
Sad to see you go man but life goes on. I remember watching your videos as a freshman in Highschool. I’ve always been ac trumpet player but I loved getting to see all the different brass instruments and how they work
107,000 thanks to you, Trent. Your channel and your passion for music helped many including me.
Take care of yourself and your family sir.
But never neglect your music. Make sure you and horns sing on!
Trent, I first discovered your channel when I was eleven years of age. I have now begun attending University and I can honestly say that your content fostered an immense inspiration in growing my appreciation for the world of music and it has been a joy to watch tis channel go to the places it has gone and to be here on this journey with you. Thank you for all you have done for all of us and I wish you and your family the best in the future and good luck with all your future endeavors! :)
I’ve been subscribed from the beginning and learned so much I’ll never forget you dropping the contrabass trombone and the pain I felt
I'll always enjoy your videos as sporadic as they might be; You are like a gem from a bygone era of TH-cam where it's just some hobbyist randomly uploading a video every once in a while to show you what he's gotten himself into now. Also your dry humour is unlike any other. You do you.
Thanks for everything you’ve done on this channel mate:) good luck for the future
It's been great, but your priorities are definitely right. All the best, Trent.
Thank you for your content, Trent! I've been watching for the better part of eight years now, and really can see part of the growth of myself as a musician paralleled with the knowledge I gained from your videos. I recall trying my hand at arranging for the first time for one of your intro/outro contests years ago - I have since composes and transcribed many, many pieces that I may never have without your channel! Best of luck in the future!
So sorry to see you go. You have answered so many of my questions about "What if they made a. . . " You showed that they tried and it didn't work. Still looking for an independent brass harmony instrument. Best wishes wherever your paths take you.
hi trent, i just want to say that you helped my love for music and brass instruments back in middle school, you helped me a lot to grow my views and passion for music, i’ve always wished the best for u then and also now, wish you the best and live your best life :))
It's been a blast watching your channel honestly. You've shown instruments I've never seen or heard of in my life and your content was so entertaining through out the years, and whatever you have planned in the future good luck on it and I hope your life is successful and everything you do
You're the best of us!! Thanks for all you've done. 🙂
Man, you’re one of the reasons I’m even into music. I started watching you in 9th grade and now I’m in college pursuing a music degree! I enjoyed every video you put out, it always put a smile on my face when I was down. I know you’re family has the BEST DAD, I wish you the very best in your future endeavors.
