I truly fell in love with this song when I was 15. I had this song and the one that my forever was to be shared with. 4 days after I turned 16 he was killed by his moms bf. He had said his mom was NEVER to be hit again. He confronted the man and the coward shot him. That was 46 years ago and I've NEVER REALLY gotten past it. Life went on. I have 4 kids, 2 grands. But GOD KNOWS my heart cries silently. I love my kids/family to my last breath but sometimes. I just feel so sad. I've never forgotten.

I remember that song in public school cause we did a play and I wanted to sing that song but my teacher let another girl sing it and I was upset but I sing it to my mom and that the only one that say you can sing my mom
If anyone remembers Napster lol...that's how i discovered all of Arethas classic stuff from the 70s. I would leave the dial up on while I was at work, and even if it was interrupted, i would start again. I wanted to know as much about her and her huge catalog of songs as i could. Great memories.

Sir, thanx ever so much for the shout - I caught it at the top of the show and tried to listen to it all, but the last thing I heard was the live version of "Baby, I Love You" from her Paris 1968 LP. I was one year old when that was released, yet I love it just as much as anything I've heard since. I'll do my best to catch you weekly from here on out - GREAT show!!
