New to your videos and have watched too many. I have instituted your grip but a word of warning for your viewers: make sure that pressure on the grip comes from the last three fingers of the left hand(as you state) and do apply any pressure with the left thumb as it will be quickly and severely stressed at the joint. Kudos for the level of information.

this is the best explanation of a strong grip and how it relates to flipping the hands and the misconception of what "flipping" is. Thanks again for a great video!

What a revlation! I've got a strong grip, but still have a tendency of flipping my wrist which results in a hook. Can't wait to take this swing feel to the range.

This shows me that my grip is not yet strong enough in spite of watching your grip videos and working on implementing your swing advice. Old habits die hard. It is raining today in Scottsdale, AZ (a rare event) so the trip to the range to work on this will have to wait until tomorrow. This video, along with all of your videos, are logical and work together to create a unified theory of the golf swing. I love hearing about WHY movements in the golf swing are optimal. For me it is not enough to know WHAT to do without the WHY I should do it explained. Happy Holidays to you in the UK.

Hi Stuart, After thinking a little more about it I realized that I actually swing the driver much the way you describe. I'm not rolling my wrists through impact but rather keeping the face relatively square to the arc. I have other issues of course but that's what makes golf so interesting. Working these things out for myself is one of the great pleasure of the game. I've come a long way over the last two years and have really enjoyed the process. All through watching TH-cam and working on things for myself.@@GoodGolfCoaching

Stu your demonstration of leveling out the club through impact really clicked for me…after one session I’ve really seen improvement with driver and irons. Should this move work for wedge shots and pitches? I struggled with those. Great instruction! Thx much.

Please confirm: Regardless of the length of the golf stick ( Driver, Hybrid, Mid to Gap irons ) this applies. It would have been nice if split screen was showning down-the-line & face-on views simultananeously. Another solid educational presentation. Best 2024 wishes to you & your family.

I love these videos , just confirms that im travelling the correct path .
Im very right hand dominant and my feel is that the right hand is in the correct guiding position through impact - in order to attain this ive had to set my left hand in this position , i didnt really consider whether it was strong or weak its just the only way i can fire the face through impact with any consistency .
Thanks for the confirmation once again 👍

I really have to get a handle on my swing.
I have upwards of 120mph clubspeed capability(Average during a session is about 117) and just can't get that smash factor going.
Longest carry at the range is only about 291.
I can't wait to try some of these things next time at the range.
I used to hit really really horrible heel strikes, but your video on balance really helped me!!
Hopefully a club fitting in the spring will also help me have a club that works for me.(not sure it will haha)

I love this for my drives. Only way I can get enough height and loft on them. Just had a video idea. When I do this wrist movement it is challenging not to get a bit of shortening of the lead arm i.e., bit of a chicken wing and cramped release, so not really getting the pressure down on the handle which you advocate. Would love to know a thought/ feel/ earlier movement to help make this wrist movement while also releasing fully.

Hi Stuart,l’m a high handicap novice (28)and 72 years young. The one club I do manage well is the driver(200+yds). I use the same grip that you show but am told I should stand taller when using the driver. How will effect the ball flight. Love your shows. James

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

James, thank you for the question! Absolutely not, you should not stand taller with driver. It will make impact condition way worse for it and hitting the ground before the ball, heel strikes with slices much worse. Check out my “every tour pro does this” video for setup characteristics. Any other questions, just let me know. Best wishes Stu 😊
