Would be really good if Audi would loan you an RS3 for a few months.......or you could buy one. To me, the RS3 is the perfect 'only' car. Big enough to be practical, but small enough to be easy to park etc. Also has amazing performance and fits on back roads. And then there is the engine sound......that 5cyl sound is incredible.

The RS6 is only apparently available in Avant (Audi’s version of BMW’s Wagon/ Estste). You could ask Audi to give you the RSQ8 and or S8 and RS7 compare to the RS6 as all 3 have the same engine: Avant RS6/ SUV RSQ8/ top of the line S-Class equivalent S8. The RS7 also has the same engine and is a sport back body. Did you have problems parking it or on B roads because of its size?
Super car that. Reminds me of the BMW 440i Gran Coupe that I have. Nowhere in the same class, don't get me wrong, but having a sporty car, that looks fantastic and that is also functional, to me is really great.
I have a mustang which has similar fuel consumption but its the smiles per miles that counts I love V8s and you're right they are slowly killing them off
I suppose 1 question is do you want to be loading wheels and parts into a 100k car or even a 70k car. The other being when you have a classic Porsche and you get your speed fix on the track do you need a superfast touring/estate/wagon. Would you be better with say a Transit Custom RS so you can move bikes around, move parts and wheels around. Or just a high spec lower budget Estate/4X4/SUV. I thought my very used Range Rover did everything including the V8 noise but find myself using the transit 80% of the time as I do a lot of automotive work, carry detailing gear and tools and have hobbies that need a lot of kit shifting. sooo so badly needs the 22 inch alloys, this one is a pretty bog standard one. i have vorsprung rs7 c8, had to tune to 815bhp within a week of owning as wasnt really what i would consider an animal....felt to slow stock. At least Audi have just released the performance version with 630bhp stock now.
I have an A6 Avant 3.0tdi best car I've ever owned not had a problem in the 2 years of ownership so far all good would recommend Audi for anyone perfect daily and plenty of room for my kids and dogs. 👍
Got one (C7) for two years now..... thinking about replacing it depresses me. It is an all car as you say. Good honest review. BTW mine is triple black with all the toys.

Becky, the older you get, the faster time goes by, and you'll see. So you've had a long time, I live in the north of Sweden in a city called Kiruna and is a good distance above the Arctic Circle. Today, 7/12, the sun will not come above the horizon for a month, but will come again only on 7/1 next year. This means that it only gets light at 09.45 - 10.00 and it starts to get dark again at 12.30. Here we have snow on the ground. Then I have to say that you should be glad that you do NOT own an Audi as there is a lot wrong with these cars. My nephew has one and he was on a trip to Norway when the car just died and now for over 2 months they have been trying to find the fault with the car, he has owned several other Audi cars and Skoda but there have been only problems with all of them, so he has now ordered a Volvoa XC90 hybrid instead. He said he is sorry that he could never feel safe with Audi or Skoda. Audi has stopped being sold in my town, when hardly any cars were sold. It should be noted that he drives at least 160 miles per day, as he commutes daily between home and work.
I had a 2004 Audi A6 and it was terrible always a chk engine light or something , I would never own another Audi , they are beautiful cars and the interiors are killer but I’ll pass

I've got a G80 M3 and feel completely the same. It does just about everything, effortlessly. I can only imagine what the touring will be like with the added practicality! But make sure you stick an exhaust on - or at the very least - replace the mid-pipe. I've added a full Remus system and now I wouldn't change a thing!
If you can afford to buy an RS6, you're not going to worry about the cost of fuel! Love what you share with us Becca ;)
I'm still stuck in the past, being horrified that a gorgeous estate car can cost £103,000. It's a lovely machine tho.

There’s somert not plumb on with your fuel calcs though! 24mpg for 3k miles would be about £1k.
