Loved the animal noises into the tank...kids helping out is pretty awesome. Plumbing looks great and the 5 minute intermission was a good break to take so I could quit laughing and feeling your pain... coming together..you guys are awesome 😎
Oh gosh I felt so bad for you Jacob when you broke the thingy. So glad you found another one! I love how you and Natalie work together so well and how your kiddos chip in to help. Have a Merry Christmas!
You and your wife are very gentle and caring parents. Thank you for the inclusion of you children in your videos. I've watched your videos from the start and always look for the next.
I love that the videos include a aerial view of your homestead. This gives me a good idea of where you have set your buildings and important elements of this land. The inclusion of the children is great. They are such good workers with a generally "happy' attitude. Work never hurt anyone. They will be well served into adulthood with these skills. Hugs from Grandma Jeannie
All things work together for good. You got a better part. Natalie’s reaction so gentle and positive ❤. Amazing parents create amazing kids. Their work ethic, just outstanding! I truly enjoy watching your channel.😊
Finally got to see some of those tumbleweed trees being cut down!! Its a shame Made In the USA does not mean what it used to mean! Now all you need is a tractor with some fork attachments to make moving those totes around easier! Looking forward to the next one!
Good morning you guys how you guys doing this morning hope everything is okay hope you got that tank in and ready to roll all right guys have a great day and have a great Christmas and we don't see you guys
So sorry!, but I had to laugh at your expression @ the crack sound. Actually a blessing in disguise because the replacement will save you a overhaul later.
I think it was a good thing that valve broke when it did. Don't think it would have held up with the pressure of many, many gallons of water. A real disaster. The new one to my eye looks more impressive. Good wishes.
I try to purchase schedule 80. It's Expensive but it won't do that. I am glad it didn't split AFTER YOU FILLED THE TANK! Sometimes(ALWAYS) God has our back....
I think I would have went with a brass ball valve coming out of the tank. That’s terrible it broke. I would be worried about the weather fluctuations with the PVC.
Since Natalie edits these, this comment is specifically for her: That record scratch when Jacob breaks the ball joint made me laugh really hard, probably harder than it should have. However, having broken a great many things myself in the process of installation, this reaches me at my core. For the record, "Made in the USA" is no guarantee of quality. Shoddy manufacturing knows no borders, but admittedly, the probability of something manufactured somewhere in Asia being poo is much higher. The manufacturer's name/reputation is a far more reliable indicator.
So sorry about your "he-man" effort to tighten that tapered fitting into the valve. Remember, thread tape/pipe dope is also a lubricant that makes threading fittings together easier. Installing a union inline with the valve lets you tighten the fitting a little bit more if you have a leak as well as saving you from cutting the piping apart to service the tank/valve fitting junction. Trust the sealant to do it's job, too. Best wishes
How much Teflon tape did you have wrapped on that thing best to spend a little more and get Hayward valves I've never busted one of them and we abused the crap out of them
I know this is an older video and I know you have already replaced it but, epoxy or JB Weld would have fixed that crack. Just saying. On second thought, I wouldn't trust glue with that much water at stake.

You are making memories for your kids as well as a water system.

So impressed with your youngest shoveling skills. He was so careful & didn’t spill out any dirt. Tell him I said “good job”.

Thank you Ed! 😊
Once the pilers were thrown down, I knew! Me, I would have been using some colorful words with that throwdown!

Looks really good, so glad you’re starting to get water in that big tank.
At least it's also rebellable. You can replace some of the parts on the inside of if you need to the o rings in all that
40 degrees, in Iowa, we would be thinking of putting a light jacket on over our t-shirt, maybe pants instead of shorts.
Some of the Most valuable lessons learned are the most expensive yet unforgettable.
Boy; you must of Really Hated the Mud Season that Year; with all the loose soil you made, with digging Trenches!
That valve was crap,The new one is so much better! Always love watching you guy's!♡♡♡
Yes, much better quality. I think they’ve saved themselves from problems in the future.
Get two heavy hose clamps, put one on each end before you tighten it, it may give you the extra strength you need in the ball valve !!!

Tumbleweed trees 🤣🤣🤣! I never looked at them that way. Now I will. Thanks. 😁

Pretty impressed you held those 4 letter words in. Good self control. Lol. Although it was a bummer new one looked stronger
😅 I know right.
- 36 here in Calgary Canada today, staying inside watching another great video
🥶 That's way cold 🥶 Stay warm.
Much sturdier tap for the job. Going strong
You all are doing a good job. 🙂
18 totes to fill that tank! Can you fill tote for free? Good job. Looks great. Thanks for sharing

When I heard that pop, I felt your pain.
Me too
Thank you

👍🏼it turned out great. Good job.😁
One step closer. Great job too. Merry Christmasto you all as well
The problem was not that you over-tightened it, but that you did not have a second wrench on the valve to counteract the twisting force.
Great editing on pouring the cement! 😹😹😹
God bless Eli, thirsty, but didn’t want to stop!!😻

i enjoy yalls videos!!!! ty for sharing.
Come on, those weren’t the two words that came to mind…….😂
We try to keep things rated G around here. 😆

Get the metal fixtures, my guy. Then you probably won't break them ... although if you have to solder them it'll be a royal PITA. :-)
I see you are following the AVE rule - "Tighten until you hear a crack then back off a quarter turn"
😂 That's some good humor. Thanks.

"Made in the USA" isn't what it used to be, but still holds some value. Appreciate your support. Glad you had a good laugh. 😁
Where are you guys at . I’m in pinetop and I keep hearing you talk about Showlow.

Don’t be too hard on yourself. Is this a good time to remind others to use TWO wrenches when tightening pipes?
I hear your scream. But you have a lot in your storage. Thanks
I was wondering if the handle on the ball valve could be shortened. Without distorying it.
We'll make it work.
How much Teflon tape did you have wrapped on that thing best to spend a little more and get Hayward valves I've never busted one of them and we abused the crap out of them
I didn't count how many turns of tape I put on, but it was a lot. Thanks for the tip. 👍

Don't you send or block to use a plastic water valve box that has a lid on it
Using that wrench is over kill my Man. With tape and dope you shouldn’t need a wrench. Hand tight is good.
Mesh is overrated for small jobs. The Romans never used it and you need at least 1.5" cover.
