They outright lied about it being 360 degree sound. It only has one actually speaker. The side ones ar just passive bass radiators which isn’t the same
Thank you for a quality video, I have 3 of these and they are refurbished from Walmart, 1 died so the battery is almost $10 which makes it not worth the replacement. LOL.. The unit is $17.99 cost.
I know this is an older video but if possible can you do a video on the battery replacement? My old AL Hydramotion of 1.5 years is struggling right now, the battery is basically dead and anything over 50% volume shuts the speaker off. Would it just be taking off that foam cap on the battery and placing it on the new one?
@@LuisBionic16 Hey, I think you should, however I also don't think it's a permanent fix. After I put the battery connector back in it's place, it did stop shutting off at 50-75% volume, however now (3 months later) I'm pretty sure my speaker is completely done and no matter what I do it just shuts off at 50% even when plugged in. You can check if the battery connector is loose, if it is just push it back in a little. It should solve it for a couple extra uses but again I don't think this is permanent as you might need to swap the batteries entirely soon Then again, it could be different for yours as I did so much modifications to this speaker that it definitely did short out the battery, but it hasn't seem to completely die yet
@@devnightHey, thnx for the advice. I went ahead and reinserted the battery. I’m doing this at night lol so I can’t really test the full capabilities of the volume. So far it still works, I didn’t screw up the parts. I’ll send an update if I managed to fix it or if it turns off again at 75% volume. It’ll be a while until I reply again as I might have a chance to test it tomorrow or sometime this week or next week. Thnx again for the help.
I know this is an older vid but can you possibly do a video that would explain how to fix a button? my power button doesn't click on anymore. I have to stab it with a pen to get it to recognize anything.

when you think about it, don't all speakers emit 360 degree sound?
@@user-mn9yf5gh4o 360 sound is when the entire speaker is emitting sound from every direction, not just the top lol
The speaker projects the sound in the ceiling and then it bounces all over the place and also the passive radiators make the sound bigger
Didn’t know about these Hydra speakers until your videos, thanks 👍🏻

Update: just took it apart and realized that the battery connector was loose. It's no longer an issue, thanks lol
Mine is also around the same age as yours. It shuts off after around 75% volume. Should I take a look to see if the battery is loose?

Update: Sorry for the long wait. Speaker no longer crashes. It’s probably a temporary solution but I hope it lasts.

It's on sale at bb for 35 usd
How to turn off this speaker?
Are these great speakers to own? I'm in the market for a new outdoor speaker
Not for outdoors the test is loud but in reality idk if my phones messed up or what but it doesn’t have much bass and isn’t super loud
@@jameshoke1129 it's got to be your phone cause this speaker is quite loud and has tons of bass to it 💀
Not worth the price
