The difference between Assault Rifle and Batle rifle is the round it fires. An assault rifle has an intermediate bullet with small recoil, like an M16 bullet, the 5.56, is a 22 caliber bullet with a lot of powder and minimal recoil. A battle rifle has a high power round with a bullet smaller than a sniper rifle and intermediate-hard recoil. The smallest bullet a battle rifle can have is a 308, 7.62×51, which has a 30 caliber bullet and more powder with decent recoil without full auto.
Terrie Collins SMH........ terrible.... any calibre can be used as sniper. A .22lr can be used to "snipe" something. Also .30 calibre is probably the most used calibre by snipers, with that being the bullet fired from a "battle rifle" is most likely exactly the same as the bullet fired from a sniper. ie: The FAL is one of the most used battle rifles in the world. It fires the 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge. Which is the exact same round the M40A3 fires. Also almost every battle rifle ever created in the past 50 years has had a selector switch for full Automatic fire.
The difference between the Scar-L and Scar-H is that the Scar-L shoots smaller weaker rounds (5.56) hence the bigger mag, and the Scar-H shoots bigger (7.62) rounds, hence the small mag, but more damage.
Onion Rings but the 5.56 spins in a circle so if you hit someone in the back, you’ll have a big hole. And if the bullet grazes there shoulder, their arm could be blown off
the scar h is chambered in 308. and the reason it's a battle rifle is the round it shares with DMR's and bolt action rifles. and the scar l is a "assault rifle" is because the round it shares with the m4 m16 hk416 and other 5.56 NATO guns. If you read this my dudes thumb up 4 hollow. hit me up on xbox (I'm adding this at 425 likes you guys are awesome!!)
Been in the army 4 years and have yet to hear anything referred to as an assault rifle or battle rifle. But as far as everything else about the scar your research was correct and I appreciate you looking into it before talking about it
I thought a fun idea could be an evolution of revolvers in COD. So the WAW 357. magnum, MW2 44 mag, BO1 python, MW3 44 mag and MP412, BO2 Executioner, Ghost 44 mag, AW M1 irons, and IW Hailstorm, And the MWR 44 magnum if you want. Being a revolver lover i would love to see that
+HollowPoiint The difference between a Battle Rifle and an Assault Rifle is that battle rifles use bigger cartridges and are stronger, while Assault Rifles fire smaller caliber rounds, and thus are weaker. One example of a Battle Rifle featured in Call of Duty is the FN FAL, while an Assault Rifle is the AN-94. This is why the FN FAL deals more damage than many other rifles despite being semi-automatic. Scar H = Battle Rifle. Scar L = Assault Rifle. I love guns.
I was going to point that out. Many games make the AN-94 a very overpowered gun and while it is for an Assault Rifle, it's nowhere near as strong as they make it look(looking at you Battlefield 4).

Yagami Raïto what's your favourite ,ghost was incredibly bad ,mw3 was very good but has less perks and attachments and same with mw2 and black ops 1,cod 4 is old barely has any weapon ,only 2 shotguns ,no special grenades ,no attachment ,can only use one perk too many campers, grenades abusers, spawn campers, black ops 3 snipers is impossible but the game is fun and good otherwise ,aw supply drops made it pay to win ,too futuristics and have to try hard ,too much going on and you can't relax and play continuous thinking otherwise the game is fun,iw is dog shit, ttk is too quick people with slower internet will kill you because if lag compensation ,black ops 2 did have disconnection issues but when the game gets going it was perfect ,ttk was perfect ,hit detection made the game feel better even though it's not the best ,black ops 2 is the only game which if they release it as a new game people it would feel like a new game and not remastered,if you blame lag then it's your fault ,the game was fun with my fast internet ,people with fast internet should be in the advantage not disadvantage since we're paying more
qxiuo its good im not black...otherwise you would be in trouble and girlfriend relationships are not sooooo important but they are pretty serious but if they cheat on you then you would just get them out of your life and not worry about it because youll make it worse for yourself
Basically a Battle Rifle like you said on the wiki, the SCAR H is chambered in 7.62x51mm. Because it's such a heavy round, a lot of militaries don't issue them, because they are generally heavy and you cannot carry more ammunition. 5.56x45mm is a faster velocity as well and has a better wounding effect on people, as the bullet would stay in the body of the target causing it to tumble and create a greater cavitation yaw. In a nut shell XD
A battle rifle is usually a rifle that fires an intermediate cartridge such as 7.623x51 (SCAR-H) but a riffle fires a smaller round such as 5.56x45 (SCAR-L)
What I would like to see you do is make a Evolution video on the Rocket Launcher or Grenade Launcher. Both weapons have been in almost every call of duty game and I could see this being a challenge for you to make but at the same time be funny in many ways.
The SCAR is probably my personal favorite assault/battle rifle, especially in MW3. It's very accurate, super controllable recoil, carries its damage well, and has that versatility. I used one with a suppressor and heartbeat sensor and would just go stealth and hunt people.
the difference between a battle rifle and an assault rifle is that the assault rifle is for going out into the battle and is used for offense. the battle rifle is used for defense when trying to protect an objective (personnel, buildings, bombs, etc.). I was born into the military and going into the Marines after high School so if you need to know anything about weapons or anything military related, I'm your guy.
A battle rifle is a rifle chambered in a full power cartridge, like the FN Scar, FN Fal, G3, M14 and so on. An assult rifle is a rifle chambered in an intermediate cartridge like the AK47, STG44, m16, FN FNC and so on.
The L is like being hit with a car, the H is like being hit by a bus with Nitrous. Fun fact about the SCAR weapons is that they have ambidextrous controls to help with the already highly versatile weapon.
In COD history there have been a lot of BRs that have were classified as ARs like the FAL, M14, SCAR-H. And also carbines that were classified as ARs or SMGs like the Commando, M4, G36C, AK-74u, MTAR.
Chemo Actual no need sir long days and pleasant night friend. it may not be a heavy machine gun but like a 50 cal or mrk 19 but definitely not a assault rifle like 556 SAW. More like a M60. If I am wrong please explain .
Heavy Machine Guns (HMG) or Light Machine Guns (LMG) are all belt fed not magazine fed. Also the caliber of bullet fired does not matter. The SCAR-H is an assault rifle chambered to fire the 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge. Here is a link to the weapon from the manufacturer FN Herstal. www.fnherstal.com/primary-menu/products-capabilities/rifles/general/product/182/232/182/1/_/fn-scarR-h-std.html
the difference depends on caliber and firerate and weight along with other things. A battle rifle is a soft medium between LMGs fire power but with ammo capacity of an assault rifle and it is lighter than an LMG but heavier than an assault rifle like the M14 which is a battle rifle (and many people do not know this because video games lead you to believe other wise) and that it was fully automatic and held 20 rounds, while the M16 is an assault rifle because it is much lighter held 20 in a standard issue mag (we are talking about in 'nam as a reference) or 30 if you were lucky it also used a much smaller caliber than the M14. Also the FNFal is a battle rifle for this same reason.
Battle rifles usually fire higher caliber rounds (e.g. 7.62 NATO) and traditionally have smaller magazine/box sizes because of the bullet, and assault rifles, smaller sized rounds (e.g. 5.56 NATO) but has more bullets in the mag/box. (Apologies if I did get anything wrong, I was taught this by a friend of mine who owns a gun range and a large amount of weapons).
An Assault Rifle is generally chambered in a lighter caliber round, making it easier to use, but it deals less "damage." A Battle Rifle uses a higher caliber round, making it a little harder to use, but deals a lot of firepower.
Hollow, an assault rifle is a full auto rifle chambered for an intermediate cartridge (5.56 for the scar-L) and a battle rifle is a rifle chambered for a full size cartridge (7.62 for the scar-H)
Battle Rifles are beefed up Assault rifles, meaning they are chambered in a full power rifle cartridge instead of an intermediate caliber so as a result it kicks really hard, delivers a huge powerful round downrange, and weighs a lot but not in the case of the SCAR-H which was literally rejected by the Brits by being to light to counter recoil resulting to the adoption of the HK417 instead
I honestly would like to see the evolution on bolt-rifle sniper evolution. Of course I understand it's going to be a long video but i think it's defiently something I'm interested in seeying
The difference between a assault rifles and battle rifles are BRs are meant for longer ranges and higher calibers, while ARs are for closer ranges and lower calibers
I still remember the day I was playing on mw3 on lockdown SnD and was trying to ninja defuse I hid behind the counters in the market area and about 3 people walked around me one of my favorite moments in a cod game ever. 3rd favorite cod
Battle rifles typically have higher caliber rounds such as .408SOCOM, .308(7.62x51) or other larger caliber rounds. They also normally have a lower rate of fire.
Battle Rifles chamber larger rounds. Where as Assault Rifles chamber the smaller counter part. AR's (which fun fact when talking of the AR-15 means Armalite Rifle) are used for patrolling and fighting styles with movement, where as the BR's are more stationary fighting styles. This has to do with the weight of the extra ammo. And is the same reason why during Vietnam America made the switch from BR's (M14's) to AR's (M-16).
Hey hollow, a combat rifle normally is chambered in a larger round, therefore are mainly used by military. Your average rifle is chambered in either 556 39 or 556 44. Ak's and Carbines not included seeing as how carbines are often chambered, in higher cal. Rounds
3:58 Battle rifles generally fire 7.62 which is the larger, punchier round. The assault rifle category usually fire intermediate calibers such as NATO standard 5.56.
A battle rifle is a military service rifle that fires a full-power rifle cartridge, such as 7.62×51mm NATO or 7.62×54mmR. Compared to assault rifles and their intermediate cartridges, the higher-caliber rounds provide greater power and range, though they render magazine capacity low and produce strong recoil, making them less than ideal for fully automatic fire
a battle rifle is a full-length rifle firing a full-sized cartridge, and is "robust" and "meant for battle." In comparison, an assault rifle is typically meant to be a select-fire, intermediate-cartridge firing rifle, usually of "smaller" size.
Battle rifle is sort of like the in between of a DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle) and an Assault rifle, it can be fully auto like an assault rifle but it fires a larger caliber, normally anything above 7.62 x 39 and has a reciprocating bolt is considered a marksman rifle or battle rifle.
The bo2 scar-h with QuickDraw stock and FMJ (FMJ was amazing in bo2) master piece 👌😍 it’s recoil was almost vertical so just pull down on the right thumb stick and tuh duh you have no recoil
Actually, there is a sniper variant which is Mk20 SCAR-SSR never exist in COD series, but it make it's way to Cs:go to the CT automatic sniper class. Maybe one day it would appear MW2R and put the SSR as a supplydrop weapon…
bo2 was the first call of duty that i ever got a gold weapon in. and it was the scar. i loved the scar from mw3 but that was the first call of duty i played legit.
Assault rifle: Usually smaller and more compact and usually fires a lower caliber. Battle rifle: Usually Bigger, Heavier, and stronger also usually(well almost all the time) use a 7.62x39 and up.
A battle rifle fires a full power rifle cartridge whereas an assault rifle fires an intermediate (less powerful) cartridge. The purpose of an assault rifle is to provide a weapon that is easier to control in automatic fire while still providing adequate ballistics for modern combat. The purpose of a battle rifle is as either a substitute for an assault rifle, or as a squad support weapon, with its more powerful round able to inflict more damage over longer ranges or through cover. Also, some semiautomatic sniper rifles have been configured from battle rifles. This includes the SCAR-H’s sniper variant, the Mk20 Mod 0.
A battle rifle is a full length rifle firing a full power cartridge while a assault rifle is a select fire usually smaller rifle that fires intermediate cartridges

Terrie Collins 5.56 is he same as the 9mm but it is longer and has more power and velocity then a 9mm not the .22

Kenneth Mauser yet the AN-94 hit like a truck in BO2
I was going to point that out. Many games make the AN-94 a very overpowered gun and while it is for an Assault Rifle, it's nowhere near as strong as they make it look(looking at you Battlefield 4).
Kenneth Mauser the AN-94 has a hyper burst so it shoots faster, and no firing cap.

Definitely the SCAR-L from MW3. Got gold camo in first day. Love SCAR-L. SCAR-H wasn't that good for me.

When you get killed by someone running a scar-l it was like being killed by explosive rounds
I guess bc in MW2 they had stopping power it made every gun op
absolutely love these, im new to the channel and I'm extremely satisfied that someone has made a video about these evo videos
The Scar-H was designed specifically to shoot very long ranges while maintaining accuracy in the deserts of Afghanistan. The Scar-L, I believe, was made later and was designed for more up close combat.

Also the FNFal is a battle rifle for this same reason.
dude I have to sub cause u are so funny and upgrade gun and stuff u are amazing 😀
Who likes fortnite
Why are you talking about this is cod not fortnite go to fortnite and say who likes fortnite
Crap fortnite 7 year old
you just commented that because it has SCAR
Nobody that game is GARBAGE
I love fortnite
Battle rifles usually fire higher caliber rounds (e.g. 7.62 NATO) and traditionally have smaller magazine/box sizes because of the bullet, and assault rifles, smaller sized rounds (e.g. 5.56 NATO) but has more bullets in the mag/box. (Apologies if I did get anything wrong, I was taught this by a friend of mine who owns a gun range and a large amount of weapons).
The scar has probable always been one of my fav guns. It was hella under rated I'm bo2
dude got excited when i saw socom loved that series (4 was it's ghost thou)
An Assault Rifle is generally chambered in a lighter caliber round, making it easier to use, but it deals less "damage." A Battle Rifle uses a higher caliber round, making it a little harder to use, but deals a lot of firepower.
Love ur video intro the beat is beautiful
assault rifles are typically chambered for intermediate cartidges (.223) and battle rifles are typically full power cartidges (.308)
Hollow, an assault rifle is a full auto rifle chambered for an intermediate cartridge (5.56 for the scar-L) and a battle rifle is a rifle chambered for a full size cartridge (7.62 for the scar-H)
Battle Rifles are beefed up Assault rifles, meaning they are chambered in a full power rifle cartridge instead of an intermediate caliber so as a result it kicks really hard, delivers a huge powerful round downrange, and weighs a lot but not in the case of the SCAR-H which was literally rejected by the Brits by being to light to counter recoil resulting to the adoption of the HK417 instead
i love this yt your so funny lmfao
The man o war from bo3 was basically the scar
Hollow you deserve more subs
You put a grip in the bo2 scar MONSTER!
Scar-H with suppressor, stalk, and fast mags. OP🔥🔥🔥
A Battle Rifle is probably a assault rifle. You earned a sub.
Fun fact about in SCAR is that every CoD where SCAR is, it's good. I love play with SCAR in MW2, MW3 and Black Ops 2.
The difrence between battle rifles and assault rifles is that one word is deferent that the other
Battle rifle is sort of like the in between of a DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle) and an Assault rifle, it can be fully auto like an assault rifle but it fires a larger caliber, normally anything above 7.62 x 39 and has a reciprocating bolt is considered a marksman rifle or battle rifle.
Would be nice if hollow went back to vids like this
The bo2 scar-h with QuickDraw stock and FMJ (FMJ was amazing in bo2) master piece 👌😍 it’s recoil was almost vertical so just pull down on the right thumb stick and tuh duh you have no recoil
Actually, there is a sniper variant which is Mk20 SCAR-SSR never exist in COD series, but it make it's way to Cs:go to the CT automatic sniper class. Maybe one day it would appear MW2R and put the SSR as a supplydrop weapon…
Grip in the scar-H 😂😂😂, The best shit I ever seen in bo2
bo2 was the first call of duty that i ever got a gold weapon in. and it was the scar. i loved the scar from mw3 but that was the first call of duty i played legit.
I love the cod MW2 SCAR-H.The only thing that kept me from using it a lot,the ammo and mag cap.
Assault rifle: Usually smaller and more compact and usually fires a lower caliber.
Battle rifle: Usually Bigger, Heavier, and stronger also usually(well almost all the time) use a 7.62x39 and up.
The SCAR in Modern Warfare 3 was always the first weapon I'd get gold. It was my go-to.
I hope you all know that it’s recorded before as you can see because when he say “what’s up guys look at his hands then look at the screen
I think about that all the time when someone kills me first and like seven of my teammates are all around me
Well, we have the Peacekeeper/Famas and now the Galil in BO3. So maybe in the future Scar-H? That would be awesome.
Evolution of the SPAS-12 in Every Call of Duty
mw3 scar l with suppressor and extended mags is one beast of a weapon
A battle rifle is a full length rifle firing a full power cartridge while a assault rifle is a select fire usually smaller rifle that fires intermediate cartridges
