I love this show. Why did have to end. My favorite part was when Morgan was on a call with Penelope and he said "Thanks baby girl" and other thing I don't want to say and all the cops looked at him and he said it was a work call and all the cops were like sure it was.
The hardest episode for me to watch was by far, the one where James Vandersomething kidnapped Dr. Reid, drugged and almost killed him! The episode was so real, so heartbreaking, I know it took several years off my life. The other episode was where Dr. Reid is sent to prison and was there for a long. That was another heartbreaker. And then of course, there's the one where Hotch's wife is murdered. I am definitely going to miss all the characters, but hopefully, they'll find fantastic roles to replace the old ones. Matthew Gray Gubler is young, extremely handsome and a great actor. I hope he's grabbed up quickly and given an unforgettable role. Will miss him the most!

Itzschmucklezinc Gideon WAS killed just as M. Edwards wrote!!! Gideon was killed plus he’s an ass and he HATES Criminal Minds so he probably WON’T be back. It was Hotch and his son that when into witness protection. But unless the actor who plays Hotch straightens out his legal problems with the show (he was violent towards a writer) he won’t be back either.
I think the episode that creeped me out the most was the one where, it was a family of three and they were breaking into a house then the son and dad killed the mom and dad and kidnapped the daughter. Then when the kidnapped girl had a seizure they dumped her. Later the team finds out this is a tradition that family’s have been doing and the girls kidnapped go on to become wife’s and help with the kidnappings. In the end they catch the family but it ends showing another family related to them.
The case of girls being abducted and their remains fed to pigs on an isolated farm was based off the Robert Pickton case. The show's writers went with the idea that the killer didn't work alone, because that was one theory in the Pickton case as some didn't think he was smart enough to pull the killings and disposal off on his own.
I didn't know that show was based on real life. The first part is one of my favorite because you didnt know what was coming and you find out in the 2nd part how evil and cruel human can be.

there is ONE thing I regret about last season.... the whole A.J and Reid subplot! I mean come on it came out of left field I thought it was resolved by now!! I wouldn't mind seeing Shemar Moore one or two times more though!

I sorta enjoyed them bringing that all back up. Especially considering Reid thought he was gonna die and so did JJ. It shows the reality of what some people hold onto in life, even if they seem like they've let it go.

It's not a quarrell when it gets physical. And Shemar left and is busy with a different show. He can return if he wants to but clearly doesn't want to aside from a guest star capacity.
Shemar Moore wasn't lied to. He has made a few guest appearances on CM since he left but he's got his own show that he is the main star of now. If you follow him on IG you'd know that he still speaks very highly of the show and the case members and has mentioned making an appearance in the last season coming up. So your anger seems misplaced here. And Thomas Gibson can't return to the show because he punched a crew member and was booked on assault charges. For the safety of the cast and crew he's not allowed back on set.
I find it sad that the show has paid tribute to and referenced all major cast members in the past, but has yet to ever speak about Elle again. I loved her, she had a very dramatic exit and I would have liked for them to check in with her at least once. Maybe they will in the last season, but I'm not holding my breath for it^^
I loved her too. Initially the actress left because she stopped acting. But i saw her in a few tv shows, i'm guessing she started acting again ! I hope we can see her in this last season 🤞

geekista, I've seen Lola Glaudini (Elle Greenaway) on many shows after Criminal Minds. She did a movie called Certain Prey in 2011 versus NCIS's Mark Harmon. She was on Blue Bloods once. She was on Unforgettable once. She was last seen on two different seasons of Agents of Shield. She definitely didn't give up acting.
Personally I hated Ellen but mainly for how she left I found that the writing and reasoning was stupid and sloppy. Her getting shot always pissed me off cause there were ways to avoid it. I think she did work well with gideon tho. I dont feel her and rossi would've mixed well
I know one of the guys that used to be a set designer when they first started. He always tried to bring a little something on the set from this area. Whether it was a road sign, or something else. If you remember the episode “Rabid” where those people were getting rabies, they mention the town, Two Rivers, Wisconsin, that’s where I live.
Janelle Selenka Jerry Wanek, whose family owns Wanek construction co, in Manitowoc, was a set designer in the early seasons of CM. Someplace I have a newspaper article featuring it. I’ve met him a few times.... he lives in Canada now, but comes back often...I know one of his other brothers.
I love criminal minds and ive enjoyed this show so much.. Very sad its ending.. I hope they keep it on tv, or netflix etc and dont remove it, cuz alot of fans want to watch old and new episodes.. Cant pic not being able to watch it at all.. I hope they will be smart and think of fans to not take it off and let us continue watching episodes over and over..
You can always buy the DVD/blu ray of any season you want and I'm sure they have box sets. It sucks but when there's a show I LOVE...I always buy the DVD for each season after another comes out(price drops by more than half typically). Aside from The Simpsons, no show lasts forever 🤣
I'm curious what the Criminal Minds cast members will all be doing now that the series filming has ended. I've heard that Josh Stewart (Will LaMontagne Jr.) is doing another movie and AJ Cook will be playing his wife in it. Matthew Gray Gubler can continue doing cartoon voices and children's shows but I hope he also continues his directing career. We already know that Shemar Moore is doing SWAT on CBS. Watching Criminal Minds marathons on SUNDANCE I recently caught a Support the Veterans commercial hosted by Joe Mantegna. Aisha Tyler can also continue doing cartoon voices and directing and hosting Whose Line is it Anyway? Adam Rodriquez can continue directing and being in movies. So many possibilities and we have the rest of our live to find them in something else.
Criminal Minds used to be my favorite show till season 10. But especially after Morgan and Hotch left, the show just doesn't give me the feels anymore. The cases seem flat and the new actors just don't belong in the BAU. It feels like the whole thing is forced. :( I miss the good old days. I have honestly watched season 1 - season 10, at least 7 times... But since season 11, I have only watched the series once and I don't intend on re-watching it. Also, I didn't like the Reed-JJ twist at the end of last season. I actually like LaMontagne, and don't want to see his heart broken.
JJ and Reid's friendship was an amazing aspect of the series. Having this secret crush twist basically changes all their previous interactions in a pretty bad way, so much so that more than half the audience doesn't even want to accept it as canon.
Agreed. I still watch and love the show but the writing did change in the last few years. I think the focus became the agents and their friendships with one another. That shortens the amount of time in each episode for getting deep into the criminal's mind's. I like Will LaMontagne's character as well. I will hate the ending if JJ and Reid get together. I don't like when any show feels they have to put certain character's together instead of allowing them to be professionals in what ever job the show is about. That never works for me.
Hotch was a much better boss and definitely more authoritative and Morgan was just much better suited in his role than his "replacement" Alvez. Even Garcia doesn't vibe with him. The dynamic is just too different. If things had to change that drastically, they should've just cancelled then.
Like Madison said, I think it was heavily implied that they were stress-induced. I'm not a doctor, but I'd go as far as to say like, hinting at conversion disorder, (as someone who has it, though not because of headaches) a condition where someone presents with neurological symptoms that can't be explained through physical means. It's very uncommon and is usually caused by trauma.

There are lots of story lines left unanswered. I've been waiting for years for them to catch the pedophile on the apalation trail. It left off with the unsub jumping out of the truck heading back to the trail. And they never did finish the story line of Jane and Frank. That story left off with them jumping into a running train. They also never really continued the story line with Rossi birthday gift. The name and location of another buried female. So Rossi can give that family closure. Lots of story lines need to be finished.

The show took the cheap ending by just tossing them in front of a train but they gave both characters a clear end I think

How do you not talk about Tim Curry guest starring on the show??? He was the 2 part arc for a season break and he was fantastic, and creepy. He completely changed his look for the role. Basically did what Charlize Theron did for Monster. It was incredible.
I don't want the show to end we need Hotch and Morgen back they are the best we need the normal team back like Reid, Hotch, Morgen, Emily, J.J, Garcia, and Rossi they all made a good team and we need them all to come back they make the show better. I love this show so much.

The guy survived and we see him travel out of the town and ends up in the bathroom of some couple. In other words, he survived but what next?? The pedophile from the Appellation Trail also got away. Where is he now?
One of my favourite guest stars was Tim Curry as the Prince of Darkness in the season 5 finale and season 6 opener. Also, the season 4 finale reminded me of the Pickton pig farm in Port Coquitlam, B.C. Canada.
One of the few that REALLY creeped me right tf out was the one with Brandon Keener. (S8E2. The Pact. Two women kill each other's criminals.) I've played.... a concerning amount of Mass Effect. Hearing Garrus Vakarian's voice say the things he said in that role absolutely chilled me.
Jason Alexander's guest appearance in Season 4, Ep 8 was probably my favorite of all the guest appearances. I am curious though, if anyone knows, why did Matthew Gray Gubler miss so many episodes in the past two seasons? He was written out of a few as being on sabatical, or teaching. Just curious as to whether or not there was a specific reason for the absence.

They never went back to the episode about the guy who kidnapp the little girl from the rest stops and killed her. That was one of the sadest episodes ever. Her dad just wanted to find the real killer and died not ever knowing who killed her.
I relate to Spencer because I have similar issues as him. I talk to much, I have lots of useless knowledge, people think I’m annoying, I never brush my hair, and I proudly and happily have an eidetic memory.
Elizabeth Lowe, JJ was bitten in her left arm by three attack dogs in Season 2's two-part "The Big Game" and "Revelations."JJ had shot those three dogs dead and later she was treating her bite wounds in a bathroom and she thought there was another attack dog coming up behind her, so she pulled out her gun and turned around to shoot it, but it was only Emily Prentiss coming up to ask her something. JJ was afraid of those dogs because just before they had bitten her she had discovered that they had eaten alive another woman leaving only a big pool of blood behind. JJ didn't want those dogs to eat her alive too. Hotch had a hearing problem because at the end of Season 3 "Lo Fi" and the beginning of Season 4 "Mayhem" Hotch had endured a car bomb that blew out his right eardrum and he needed time for his ear to heal. Flying in the jet hurt his ear. The sound of a loud digging tool in a cemetery hurt his ear as well. And firing a gun also hurt his ear. It took three whole episodes before Hotch's ear had healed properly.
I noticed that, too. I've personally interpreted it as like, an attempt (and I'm not saying it failed, I'm perfectly okay with how the plots are, but I see why others may be unsatisfied) to balance aspects of drama and cases. Like, I think they want to keep focus mostly on the criminology and behavioral psychology and the events that *specifically* tie to the main idea of the show, but they do still want you to know that those events have realistic effects on the characters. They probably just didn't want personal narrative to derail the objective plot, thus they're not followed super close. Not to mention, I'd think there'd be a lot of natural time skips between their heavier cases.
I miss everything about Criminal Minds. Except occasionally it got a little fort. I loved the characters. On my bucket list is to hug Matthew Gray Gubler.

Gina Mantegna, Joe Magneta's daughter also played the caretaker of Reid's mom when Reid was in jail and she kidnapped Reid's mother and was Cat Adams girlfriend. Before that, it was Gina who tricked Reid into Mexico at the motel where she drugged him at the motel. It`s Gina- Reid is chasing with a car when he is arrested for narcotics in the car in Mexico. She was eventually jailed.
I'm at season 11 and he hasn't left yet but it's so close and I'm not sure if I'll be able to watch especially since Reid is going to be gone for half of season 12. The episodes I'm on now he is gone but only for a little bit and I can't bear it.

And Shemar left and is busy with a different show. He can return if he wants to but clearly doesn't want to aside from a guest star capacity.
Shemar Moore wasn't lied to. He has made a few guest appearances on CM since he left but he's got his own show that he is the main star of now. If you follow him on IG you'd know that he still speaks very highly of the show and the case members and has mentioned making an appearance in the last season coming up. So your anger seems misplaced here. And Thomas Gibson can't return to the show because he punched a crew member and was booked on assault charges. For the safety of the cast and crew he's not allowed back on set.

I find it sad that the show has paid tribute to and referenced all major cast members in the past, but has yet to ever speak about Elle again. I loved her, she had a very dramatic exit and I would have liked for them to check in with her at least once. Maybe they will in the last season, but I'm not holding my breath for it^^
I loved her too. Initially the actress left because she stopped acting. But i saw her in a few tv shows, i'm guessing she started acting again ! I hope we can see her in this last season 🤞

geekista, I've seen Lola Glaudini (Elle Greenaway) on many shows after Criminal Minds. She did a movie called Certain Prey in 2011 versus NCIS's Mark Harmon. She was on Blue Bloods once. She was on Unforgettable once. She was last seen on two different seasons of Agents of Shield. She definitely didn't give up acting.
Personally I hated Ellen but mainly for how she left I found that the writing and reasoning was stupid and sloppy. Her getting shot always pissed me off cause there were ways to avoid it. I think she did work well with gideon tho. I dont feel her and rossi would've mixed well
I know one of the guys that used to be a set designer when they first started. He always tried to bring a little something on the set from this area. Whether it was a road sign, or something else. If you remember the episode “Rabid” where those people were getting rabies, they mention the town, Two Rivers, Wisconsin, that’s where I live.

You can always buy the DVD/blu ray of any season you want and I'm sure they have box sets. It sucks but when there's a show I LOVE...I always buy the DVD for each season after another comes out(price drops by more than half typically). Aside from The Simpsons, no show lasts forever 🤣
I'm curious what the Criminal Minds cast members will all be doing now that the series filming has ended. I've heard that Josh Stewart (Will LaMontagne Jr.) is doing another movie and AJ Cook will be playing his wife in it. Matthew Gray Gubler can continue doing cartoon voices and children's shows but I hope he also continues his directing career. We already know that Shemar Moore is doing SWAT on CBS. Watching Criminal Minds marathons on SUNDANCE I recently caught a Support the Veterans commercial hosted by Joe Mantegna. Aisha Tyler can also continue doing cartoon voices and directing and hosting Whose Line is it Anyway? Adam Rodriquez can continue directing and being in movies. So many possibilities and we have the rest of our live to find them in something else.
Criminal Minds used to be my favorite show till season 10. But especially after Morgan and Hotch left, the show just doesn't give me the feels anymore. The cases seem flat and the new actors just don't belong in the BAU. It feels like the whole thing is forced. :(
I miss the good old days. I have honestly watched season 1 - season 10, at least 7 times... But since season 11, I have only watched the series once and I don't intend on re-watching it.
Also, I didn't like the Reed-JJ twist at the end of last season. I actually like LaMontagne, and don't want to see his heart broken.
JJ and Reid's friendship was an amazing aspect of the series.
Having this secret crush twist basically changes all their previous interactions in a pretty bad way, so much so that more than half the audience doesn't even want to accept it as canon.
Agreed. I still watch and love the show but the writing did change in the last few years. I think the focus became the agents and their friendships with one another. That shortens the amount of time in each episode for getting deep into the criminal's mind's. I like Will LaMontagne's character as well. I will hate the ending if JJ and Reid get together. I don't like when any show feels they have to put certain character's together instead of allowing them to be professionals in what ever job the show is about. That never works for me.
Hotch was a much better boss and definitely more authoritative and Morgan was just much better suited in his role than his "replacement" Alvez. Even Garcia doesn't vibe with him. The dynamic is just too different. If things had to change that drastically, they should've just cancelled then.

Like Madison said, I think it was heavily implied that they were stress-induced. I'm not a doctor, but I'd go as far as to say like, hinting at conversion disorder, (as someone who has it, though not because of headaches) a condition where someone presents with neurological symptoms that can't be explained through physical means. It's very uncommon and is usually caused by trauma.
i heard that matthew was going to leave the show so the writers were planning on killing him off if he left so that’s what they were going with the headache storyline

There are lots of story lines left unanswered. I've been waiting for years for them to catch the pedophile on the apalation trail. It left off with the unsub jumping out of the truck heading back to the trail. And they never did finish the story line of Jane and Frank. That story left off with them jumping into a running train. They also never really continued the story line with Rossi birthday gift. The name and location of another buried female. So Rossi can give that family closure. Lots of story lines need to be finished.

The show took the cheap ending by just tossing them in front of a train but they gave both characters a clear end I think

Penelope,Morgan, Reid, Hotch, JJ, Prentis, Gideon were my top favorites BUT I LOVED all the rest also. I came to love this show so much.
Gideon was the only main character killed off screen. Steven was killed in the on screen car crash at the end of season 12.
Also the director (alcoholic woman) was killed - wax given some drugs

One of my favourite guest stars was Tim Curry as the Prince of Darkness in the season 5 finale and season 6 opener.
Also, the season 4 finale reminded me of the Pickton pig farm in Port Coquitlam, B.C. Canada.
One of the few that REALLY creeped me right tf out was the one with Brandon Keener. (S8E2. The Pact. Two women kill each other's criminals.) I've played.... a concerning amount of Mass Effect. Hearing Garrus Vakarian's voice say the things he said in that role absolutely chilled me.
Jason Alexander's guest appearance in Season 4, Ep 8 was probably my favorite of all the guest appearances. I am curious though, if anyone knows, why did Matthew Gray Gubler miss so many episodes in the past two seasons? He was written out of a few as being on sabatical, or teaching. Just curious as to whether or not there was a specific reason for the absence.

They never went back to the episode about the guy who kidnapp the little girl from the rest stops and killed her. That was one of the sadest episodes ever. Her dad just wanted to find the real killer and died not ever knowing who killed her.

I relate to Spencer because I have similar issues as him. I talk to much, I have lots of useless knowledge, people think I’m annoying, I never brush my hair, and I proudly and happily have an eidetic memory.
I have just one question. Why were there so many small plots dropped out of nowhere like jj's fear of dogs or hotch's hearing problem?
Elizabeth Lowe, JJ was bitten in her left arm by three attack dogs in Season 2's two-part "The Big Game" and "Revelations."JJ had shot those three dogs dead and later she was treating her bite wounds in a bathroom and she thought there was another attack dog coming up behind her, so she pulled out her gun and turned around to shoot it, but it was only Emily Prentiss coming up to ask her something. JJ was afraid of those dogs because just before they had bitten her she had discovered that they had eaten alive another woman leaving only a big pool of blood behind. JJ didn't want those dogs to eat her alive too. Hotch had a hearing problem because at the end of Season 3 "Lo Fi" and the beginning of Season 4 "Mayhem" Hotch had endured a car bomb that blew out his right eardrum and he needed time for his ear to heal. Flying in the jet hurt his ear. The sound of a loud digging tool in a cemetery hurt his ear as well. And firing a gun also hurt his ear. It took three whole episodes before Hotch's ear had healed properly.
I noticed that, too. I've personally interpreted it as like, an attempt (and I'm not saying it failed, I'm perfectly okay with how the plots are, but I see why others may be unsatisfied) to balance aspects of drama and cases. Like, I think they want to keep focus mostly on the criminology and behavioral psychology and the events that *specifically* tie to the main idea of the show, but they do still want you to know that those events have realistic effects on the characters. They probably just didn't want personal narrative to derail the objective plot, thus they're not followed super close. Not to mention, I'd think there'd be a lot of natural time skips between their heavier cases.

Gina Mantegna, Joe Magneta's daughter also played the caretaker of Reid's mom when Reid was in jail and she kidnapped Reid's mother and was Cat Adams girlfriend. Before that, it was Gina who tricked Reid into Mexico at the motel where she drugged him at the motel. It`s Gina- Reid is chasing with a car when he is arrested for narcotics in the car in Mexico. She was eventually jailed.
