True ! you need to have some patience and practice to master this art of using the chapati maker.I manage to make thin ,round chapatis but was not satisfied by the finished look so what I do is that First I make all the chapatis together on my chapati maker and then cook them on my traditional tawa.It sure saves a lot of time and effort .In just 5mins I get all my chapati balls turn into round ,thin chapatis.Make sure to preheat the chapati maker 5mins before you start using it.Another useful tip is that suppose you are making about 15 chapatis then after making every 4 or 5, wait for a min , till the chapati maker regain its hot temperature back and then start making the chapatis again.

I tried with soft dough but didn’t get good result with same type chopsticks maker. Do u hav any tips how much dough quantity and consistency and what time and temperature to get good chpati
In a large bowl, stir together the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour and salt. Use a wooden spoon to stir in the olive oil and enough water to make a soft dough that is elastic but not sticky. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until it is smooth. Divide into 10 parts, or less if you want bigger breads. Roll each piece into a ball. Let rest for a few minutes.
Heat the chapati maker until hot, and grease lightly. put a chapati on it, about 30 seconds, then flip and cook on the other side and wait 30 sec.
Continue with remaining dough.
