Contacted Driveway because all their cars were listed as "coming soon" even though they had been available and sitting at the dealerships for MONTHS. The Driveway agents made every excuse to try and pretend the cars were still in transit, being detailed, etc. I told them they'd been listed for MONTHS, had all their pictures posted, had experienced price drops, and I even called and confirmed with the dealership. Turns out, the dealerships were intentionally preventing customers from buying these "coming soon" vehicles because they wanted to sell them on the lot and not on the Driveway site (they make more money that way). Driveway agents said "Ok. We will contact the dealership and see if we can get them to release the car for you to buy it." They then texted me and said something would be available next week. So I waited a week and wouldn't ya know it... in that week's time, the dealerships intentionally PULLED ALL THE MODELS I was interested in off of the Driveway site. The only ones that they left had been sitting for ~6mos and these ones they magically jacked the prices up on-- "market adjustment fees." Insane scam just to prevent one customer from buying online, but it 100% happened. Blew my mind to pieces. I then went to the individual dealer websites and found THOSE SAME CARS I WAS LOOKING AT AND INTERESTED IN the following week. Still available. Still discounted. Just not available to me through Driveway. Complete scam. Reported the matter to Driveway and they pretended it was completely natural and they had no clue what was going on.
I just bought a car from Driveway...not good experience so far!
