Riccordando Il Passato is an absolutely phenomenal song. It is the ending song to the final episode of the Visual Novel Umineko When They and it couldn't be more fitting with how the story end.
It starts as a typical murder mystery but then starts going through heavy discussions about love (familiar, romantic, between a writer and their readers etc.), abuse, depression, mental health, grief, loss and so much more.
It is a really long story (80-100 hours to completion) but one that many fans have found to change how they think and view the world.
It also have an absolutely amazing soundtrack. While many songs might not mean anything to those who havent read it, many who have often consider it one of the best soundtracks ever made. It covers so many genres from everything between organ music (Organ short #600 million in C minor, Scorpion Entrails), Trance (WorldEnd Dominator, DreamEnd Discharger), solemn or energetic piano (Hope, Answers) and so many other genres and songs.
It is not a series for everyone, especially with how long it is. But for those who have the time and patience I can strongly recommend it.
Vode An is Mandalorian for Brothers All, the whole song is sung in Mandoa, the language of Mandalore, most of the language was created by Karen Travis for the Republic Commando Novels.

Mick Gordon gets so much praise for his work on Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal, and rightfully so, but his work on Killer Instinct (2013) is so underrated.
Prey 2017 for me, that soundtrack was amazing, I liked it more than Mick's work on Doom, actually.
I wouldn't have known I could immediately recognize a song from a game I haven't played in 15 years, but Vode An was immediately recognizable! Really brings me back!

Aw man I really hope Marco gets to listen to more of the Pathfinder songs, especially the different Mythic Path themes, each one feels so fitting for what it's trying to express.
Love Mythic power and honestly you hit the nail on the head. For context with minimal spoilers, when you hear it for the first time your party is racing to stop kind of a demonic special forces team from destroying this artifact that is holding their full army at bay. At the final moments when hope is lost you have a brush with the divine. So here you are at 1 moment facing a foe that is insurmountable and the next, they are almost like insects to you. Also, this all takes place in chapter 1, so this is really just the start of your journey.
Another thing they did is Wrath of the Righteous is a game where you can be what you want, so you can shape your powers to follow serval mythic paths. Like do you want to be an angel or devil? Follow law or chaos? Even be a dragon, lich, bug man, or just give it all up and just be the omega human. With each choice your theme changes to reflect that choice. So like if you have your moment later on instead of Mythic Power playing, if you choose freedom and are playing along the Azata path, Starward Gaze (Song of Elysium) plays instead. Awesome they put in the effort to compose I think 9 different songs for a game most people only will play once.

Pathfinder games in general have amazing OST, likely one of the best out there.
Whoever recommended Valkyria Chronicles is an absolute Chad. Such an incredible series. It's so wild when you realize the music goes over a third person turn based strategy shooter.
Mythic Power from Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, to try and give context is the players theme song with it expanding and changing as the game progresses depending on the players choices, it only plays in the early game in certain parts but when it does you know that whatever you end up facing next you know you will be victorious.
EDIT: all of the mythic songs are about two minutes long as they really only play over specific moments so they are designed to be short but very impactful, especially since they are by far the most memorable pieces of music from the game.

Aww, I totally forgot and missed this one.
So fun note with Ec Tisia from AR Tonelico 3, it is the last song in the original Ar Tonelico trilogy that closes everything out.
What's cool, is that those three parts towards the end of the song are from the opening of each game in the trilogy. So it is singing about each of your adventures over the years.
The call and response in this one is part of a conversation between humans and the wills of the planet as they revive the planet and make it livable again (the 3 games take place on towers far above the surface).
52:38 the ost for kof were made for neo geo hardware which, like a lot of old arcade hardware, had limitations on the sound quality. The arranged versions of kof tracks usually largely improve the quality of the arcade osts, using real instruments and were used in the console ports of kof games

Okay so one really interesting thing with EXEC_HARMONIUS, what form a hymmnos song takes actually varies depending on who has it within the setting. this comes up explicitly earlier in the original Ar Tonelico with EXEC_LINKER where you get rather substantially different songs for the boss fight at the end of act one depending on whether you give it to Aurica or Misha. So this HARMONIUS is definitely different in some ways than the version Mir would have originally made, and we can know that for sure because in Ar Tonelico 2 Mir is actually one of your party members under an alias, and for a boss fight sings EXEC_HARMONIUS_FUSION.
You're basically correct on most of this but the song you are thinking of is EXEC_PAJA (EXEC_PURGER) not EXEC_LINKER.
Also EXEC_HARMONIOUS_FUSION is different from the one Misha sang not just because Mir is the one singing it but also because the hymn was rewritten by Mir to change its effects.
Noriko Mitose has actually sung in live concerts a version of EXEC_HARMONIOUS that is meant to be the original one that Mir couldn't sing but I don't know if any recordings exist or not.
Regarding Lycanthropy from KI1, the character the song is attached to is one Baron Konrad von Sabrewulf. Turns himself into a werewolf by accident and later is captured and turned into a cyborg by the Big Bad Ultratech. So you get the Victorian strings for the Baron, the transitions for the metamorphosis and the almost clockwork sounds of his modification. The song really does a fantastic job of giving you those themes without a single word.

3:14:48 Red Hood has such a lewd design but she’s such an amazing character and her bond with Snow White (the girl she has in a headlock) was genuinely so sweet and the Red Ash event was heartbreaking. Red Hood was afflicted with something called Corruption by their enemies, the Raptures, to turn her into a Heretic. Heretics are Nikke that fell to the Raptures and now assist them in their war against humanity. The very first attempt they made was on Red Hood, one of the 6 members of Goddess Squad and the one the squad as a whole agrees is the Goddess of Victory. It’s effects include a genuinely unimaginable level of pain as the nano machines in her brain are melted and reconfigured into a Rapture setting to turn her hostile against humanity. Red Hood however is also the only case of a corrupted Nikke resisting its effects and pushing it down whenever it surfaced. After her final mission, Red Hood retired, breaking her squads hearts in the process. None more so than Snow White, the youngest member of the squad and Red Hood’s best friend. This song plays after Red Hood successfully saves a human settlement that was just attacked by Raptures with her bare hands and once again completely halts the corruption to settle the humans fears, and Red Hood is overcome with regret about how she left her friends behind. And the moment she decides she’s going to make everything right this time, she heads right back. And immediately saves their lives from another Heretic, one who was meant to join their squad but was taken before she was even brought online, plus an army of over a million Raptures she took on with just her sniper rifle minutes before hand. Red Hood is the god damned GOAT.
Hold You Tight is remarkably and strangely the least popular of all the Red Ash songs, considering that all of them are VERY good....RED ASH in particular.

I'd definitely recommend listening to the Celeste soundtrack, the composer Lena Raine has worked on minecraft, and the Celeste ost + the farewell Dlc are incredible, id love to hear your thoughts on it!!!

Fun fact: the game's arcade franchise is on its 13th installment (currently at 6RR+, but only in Japan atm) and started all the way back in 2004. The arcade's OST was composed by Yuzo Koshiro who you already know. WMMT's ost used to primarily consist of Trance music but around 2018 or somewhere earlier, he started to branch out to other music genres in the game too such as rock, jumpstyle, jazz, "nightcore" and other EDM subgenres.

Super unique game, awesome soundtrack. You hit the nail on the head, too - it's incredibly bleak. Not what you would expect at first from a game where you ride a motorcycle and do backflips to reload your guns, but it fits surprisingly well with the gameplay.
Also fun fact, the music is diegetic! You collect the soundtrack in-game by finding cassette tapes, and the main character listens to them while riding her motorcycle! Just thought that was pretty cool.
You should totally check Akiko Shikata (the lady behind Ar Tonelico's OST) other songs, like Pantalea, Luna Piena and so on. You're in for goosebumps. Other OST that I'd recommend : Utawarerumo series, The House in Fata Morgana, Chrono Trigger.

Minor Scarlet nexus ending spoilers head.
That music is the menu theme music and in the menu we are shown both main characters, with the main city of the game in the background as well as the moon in the sky.
In the game u choose one of 2 characters and at the end of the game both characters talk to eachother at the same place in the menu while the music stars to slowly begin, it is then revealed that one charscter will stay in the city while the othrr goes to the moon and at the end of that seen you got a seamless fluid transition to the menu as if u just opend the game.
Its such a beautiful and incredible way to end the game.

Whoever suggested the KOF2000 track is cultured but also screwed up their opportunity. The problem with it is that they used the OST version of the track, instead of the AST (Arranged Soundtrack) version which has a much better quality to it.
I love the Scarlet Nexus OST. The tracks are of such variety, different styles, moods and I think even different genres.

Ok, who the HECK recommended an INFINITY BLADE TRACK!? That cuts deep man. It’s a mobile game made by Epic before they had Fortnite, and it was a D*MN GOOD GAME. A fantasy combat game similar to punchout’s gameplay. Great story, had 2 books, music was great, but Epic ticked off Apple and got their games delisted. F*ck.

Scarlet nexus, is very nice game. Good 8/10 game overall. Story was nice and all. I just hate that you miss parts of story because you can choose the MC. Also at the end you get access to all charachters and need to use them. So it get EXTREMELY compligated and you have to read alot of menus to figure out what the other partys peoples skills are. But yes i higly recommend it worth the money, i am hoping to forget the story and play the female lead next.

Oh wow, wasn't expecting a track from Scarlet Nexus. Game itself is so shit that I hardly even remember any OST from it, even though it's quite good.
I don't know, I remember Scarlet Nexus being pretty good. Not absolutely life changing and incredible, but good.

Since I have no option to throw money at our beloved youtuber atm, I just hope one day some of the patrons ask for Ominous Cross, Clarion Call, Splinter, Resist, Daybreak or any other of the peak Nikke tracks that are MOST UNFAIRLY ignored by wide masses (and not "Hold You Tight" for the third time). Please do some justice for Cosmograph and his team 🥲
It's not really surprising that some people just look at the surface and are repelled. All the ads don't help which sucks since most of the soundtrack is some of the best I've heard in any game I've ever played. I'm currently loving the two newest tracks Metal Strike and Dark Matter.
