The rambler special, great fun. I did that a few years ago from Blackpool, got off at Langwathby and walked to Armathwaite before getting the train back.

G, Darwen is my Local station, why didn't you go to Darwen Sainsburys rather than Lidl it would have been a shorter walk,The artwork on the station was done by young adult volunteers with the Child Action North West charity, the picture at 9:07 is by my daughter. throw love around like confetti!
Brilliant first of all its amazing to see this line again and its amazing to see my grandparents home town Clitheroe again also where used to go for my summer holidays when i was younger last time i stayed in Clitheroe was in 2013 since 2015 when i started to come up north again but on my own i now stay in Preston as Preston has easier transport connections as i cant drive anyway if you ever go back to Clitheroe i recomend going to the Castle and ypu get views of Pendle hill too also i will be going to Clitheroe this friday on my last day up here in the North im looking forward riding this line even tho im only doing the bit between Blackburn and Clitheroe brilliant vlog as always

The line beyond Clitheroe is still used regularly by freight - either to the cement works just north of the town, or up to the Settle & Carlisle line and on to Carlisle and beyond - as well as the Sunday DalesRail service. The reason that the DalesRail service runs on Sunday - like the Dalesbus network that it connects with - is because there are trains "spare" on a Sunday, which are needed the other six days a week for the more intensive service, and so they can be put to use on a Sunday at a lower cost, but if they were to run the service every day then they would need to buy more trains for it. PS, love the music on this one!
Great video as always :-) The 3-car 150s are 2-car Class 150/1 units with a 150/2 driving trailer inserted in the middle. They were created about 3 or 4 months ago for Manchester Victoria to "Clit-hero" services to enable 153s to be stood down. There are 4 of these Hybrid sets 150003 to 150006. Two of them have one toilet per 3-car, (because two were formed by splitting up toilet-less 150209), one has two standard toilets (small type) and one has two universal (disabled access) toilets. Well done for great video :)
I’ve been to Bromley cross twice, it’s a lovely little station and the signallers are very nice, I’ve been in the box quite a lot. I’m from the area and we pronounce hall ith wood hall - I - th - wood. Good video!

Is that where the line is to be electrified from Bolton to Wigan Wallgate and Wigan North Western and could see this line once electrification that Class 323, Class 319, Class 769 and Class 331 EMUs to operate on. Or is that line from Bolton to Blackburn and won’t be electrified. I’m sure that Grant Shapps could mention branch lines in Lancashire including the East Lancashire Line that could be electrified in the near future.

Great line to travel on . Used by plenty of charter trains to get to the settle and carlisle line. Got stuck on one which failed at Clitheroe once .
