+Mark Willis It's in fact a year to the day since I set this tank up for the first time! Hope it goes well for you, and the weathers not too bad up there!
+TheMouthonWheels Thanks! I still have the original AquaFlow 200 that came with it and fortunately the one that came with mine is silent. If you get air bubbles in it you have to give it a good knock to get them out and then it quietens down
+FishPie Good tip. 👍 I think they may have upgraded the filter that comes with the kits as people seem happier with them now. I just love how easy it is to maintain the cartridges with the U2. 😊
Tate Smith thanks Tate , it's just a piece of bogwood I got from Maidenhead aquatics , took a while to find a piece tree shaped ! I tied onto it Java moss, they sell it there too, I separated it out to little bits and tied it on with sewing cotton. Takes about a month for it to settle into the tank but now it grows really well. I'll do a video next week , I've changed the tank a little and now have a new corner one !
FishPie nice one cheers, I have managed to find a similar looking one, sorry for stealing your idea lol. Im getting the aquarium next week, I was wondering how your homemade filter is doing? because i was going to start off with using a similar one as I have also watched pondgurus vids and think the biomedia is a great idea! would be good to see the progression of your tank, keep the videos coming!
Tate Smith Ha no problem ! I've got a fluval roma 90 that I'm going to swap the lot out so when I've done that I'll post an update. The filter is doing pretty well actually, it's running on it's own now for about a month, my Nitrates although not coming down yet are actually the same as tap water when it gets to the end of the week not sure if that's my plants or the media, but it never used to be like that. The pumps great though, still completely silent and push air about.
Hi mate is the filter wire submerged under the water in this video I have same but I’m worried the cord on top of the filter shouldn’t be under the water line could you confirm ?
As nice as the large rock is it must take up about 15 litres of the water volume, also try running a strip of black electrical tape just under the outside rim, that way you hide the water line.
+Stephen Hynen oh yea I ditched that over a year ago now, hopefully getting a new tank soon after a house move so might get some big rocks in the new tank
Thanks - just setting this tank up and the video was very useful. So a big "cheers mate" from here in York. :-)

this was so helpful thank you, the only video i could find on this tank
I should mention that the last bit of the video the lights don't flicker the camera just didn't quite get the 60hz filter right at the end!
Great video!
Thanks!
Great video. 😊
I found the filter that came with my aqua 65 very noisy and I replaced it with the Fluval U2. Blissful silence!

+TheMouthonWheels oh yes the fluval U series is so easy to clean. This is my monthly pain in the ... with the aqua flow!
FishPie Just a quick question about the moss growing out of the tree, is it bogwood? and what type of moss? Looks really good

+fergalshark it’s fully submersible you can put it under the water
FishPie cheers mate looks as though can’t with wire at top cheers for reassuring me 👍🏼
Anyone know how to remove the lid on this ?
Pull out the pins either side that are the hinges
@@FishPieTV hi thanks for the reply, this probably sound dumb but how do you pull them out? I tried but couldn't get it to move
Pedro long nose pliers, they slide out to the side , give the lid a wiggle as you try to pull them to free up some pressure
@@FishPieTV thank you so much, I got it
